Do you get the boot on Halloween party nights?

Hello,
We made a dining ressie for 7:00pm at the magic kingdom for a night in October. At the time we made our ressies we did not know that there was a Halloween party scheduled and the park closes at 7:00pm to regular ticket holders.
We are not planning on buying party tickets. Will we need to change our dining plans?
And, I know you can not go on any rides without a party wristband but would they allow us to stick around to watch the fireworks?
Thanks,
Mark

I had a BoG reservation at 6:55 on a MVMCP night. That was fine, but we were escorted out of the park by a CM after our meal because we didn't have party tickets. I would assume the same truth holds for MNSSHP, so I don't think you'd be allowed to stay for fireworks.

You are allowed to make ADRs up to 7:00 PM on party nights but after your meal, you will be escorted by a CM from the restaurant to the exit. You will not be allowed to watch fireworks or shop.

Thanks for the feedback. That's good to know.
Do you think it's worth going to the magic kingdom on a party-night? The park hours are short and no fireworks. I had heard the crowds are light earlier in the day and then really heavy around 5:00pm to close.

I was surprised at how aggressively the CMs monitored wristbands leading up to the 7pm cut off when we were there. The people being directed/led out looked like trespassers. Sorta felt bad for some of them.

Depends on what you want to do. My in-laws and wife loved the castle show, while my sons and I loved walking onto everything.

The mornings do tend to be less crowded because as you said, people go to another park if they don't have hoppers, etc. So they can be good days in that sense.

On the other hand, you do sort of feel ripped off. They start letting the partygoers in at 4 pm, and then it starts getting really crowded really fast.

If you have hoppers, it's totally worth it, then you can go to Epcot or wherever at night. Even if you don't have hoppers, it's also worth it if a rope drop to 4-7 pm day is ok with you.

We did MK on a party-night, and it was a great day to go. You heard right about crowds being lighter earlier in the day.

I would definitely check in for your ADR around 6:30 or so to be sure they don't try to kick you out before you can get checked in.

During our last MNSSHP experience, a CM approached me and asked if I had a wrist band (I did) and answered yes. But the wrist band was not visible due to my long sleeve shirt. The CM asked to see the band somewhat perturbed and mentioned if I didn't have one I must leave the park now. I just smiled and revealed the band. The CM just walked away. :thumbsup2

I am glad they are so aggressive. People pay a lot of money to go to the parties!

Agreed! :) I'm sorry, OP, this isn't meant to be a dig at you, but I'm glad to know that Disney is upholding their end of the bargain for those that have purchased tickets.

On my confirmation for a ARD on a party night (Reservation for 6:40) I had this on the e-mail I received:

Reservation for 2 Guests on Sunday Sep 14, 2014
Cinderella's Royal Table
6:40 PM - Dinner

Magic Kingdom® Park

Your reservation occurs during a special event, which requires a separate admission ticket for park entry. Please ensure all members of your dining party hold tickets for this event.

I know usually they let you go to your ADR up to 7, but I didn't take a chance and changed it to an earlier one.

It will take a sprinkling of pixie dust for you to be able to keep that ADR. Policy is that you can make one UP TO but NOT INCLUDING 7 PM without a party ticket. It doesn't matter when you check in.

If I were you, I'd try to get an earlier time. If it was BOG, you're likely out of luck, and that was likely the reason you were able to snag that time.

They definitely won't allow you to stick around for the fireworks, although you could head over to the Poly and watch them from the beach.

We always go to the MK on party days, because there are so many parties these days, that the non-party days are super crowded and no fun at all. As the other explained, you will be escorted out of the park after your meal. You may or may not be able to keep the ADR...we always scheduled our meals for the 6:40-6:50 range so there was no doubt that we would be seated before the party.

You forgot the word "NOT". ;)

OP, the ADR needs to be before 7pm, and be sure to hit the restrooms before leaving the restaurant. You will not be allowed to stop for anything on your way out of the park, including a bathroom break.

LOL, thanks. Fixed it. :)

This is exactly why we LOVE MK on party days. We will get there at RD, the crowds are small, then around 4pm we hop over to Epcot for a ride or two and a much better dinner than MK has to offer.

Someone last week was told by a CM that if you have a ressie after 4pm on a 'party day' that you will be required to have an event ticket- YES, 4PM....not 7PM.

While this CM could be wrong- it seems like this thread confirms at least some of this as 'fact'....as a 6:40 ressie has a note that says you must hold party tickets OR ELSE.

If that's true, it must have happened recently, as that was not the case in December.
