The flights that go via another airport e.g. Manchester - Glasgow - Sanford or vice versa does anyone know if you are the first Place to get picked up e.g. Manchester do you have to get off at Glasgow for a short while or do they let you stay on the plane whilst the Glasgow people board.

any connection flight we have been on
we Had to stay on the plane

we have done the manchester-glasgow-sanford route, and we had to stay on the plane.

The only time they would require you to get off is if the plane is refuelling for safety reasons everyone needs to be off.

thanks everyone, my son can only stay seated for a certain period of time and I try to time everything for him so was concerned if the time scale changed due to getting people on and off the plane when stopping at another airport.

We have been made to stay on the aircraft a few times during refuelling - had to remain in our seats and for up to an extra 90 minutes - horrible when it's a long flight anyway. Though to be fair, these were on flights to/from South America and Caribbean.

we also had to stay on the plane while it was being refuelled in glasgow!

Strange as we have always had to get off when refuelling, but that was a few years ago and thought it still stood??

Claire ;)
