Do you get Covid and Flu vaccines at the same time?

I'm a little worried to do both at once. I had shingles this summer and don't want to drive my immune system crazy.

Anyone have a story to share?

Yes, I get them together. Just got this year’s a couple weeks ago, along with a pneumonia shot. Sorry to hear you had shingles. I got the 2-part singrix (probably not spelled right) vaccine 2-3 years ago. I know it’s not 100% effective but I do what I can to try and avoid it. I had Covid in 2020 (worst sickness I’ve ever had) and I do what I can to keep as healthy as I can.

I haven't had the shingles vaccine yet so I can't speak to that, but for at least the past 3 years I've gotten COVID and flu vaccines at the same time in the same arm (this year included). No problems other than typical arm soreness for a day or two I really had no other reaction. DH has gotten COVID and flu both spaced out and together and he always reacts to the COVID one either way. Nothing earth shattering, but definitely chills, fever, and sore joints etc. for a couple of days.

I get them both together at this time of year. Always a feel a bit poorly for 24 hours afterwards, but the benefits speak for themselves. I have a medical complaint, so I need the extra protection. I look upon the jabs as my own personal armour.

I do not. Even though the pharmacy says you can, I told the nurse I rather get them a few weeks apart and she agreed with me. In the unlikely event you have a reaction, seems like having them separate would make it easier to investigate what the issue was. I think the pharmacy suggests getting both together since they think people might not bother to return for the second one after having the first.

Everyone's system is probably different and never had a reaction to either of them (other than a sore arm), but some of my relatives feel ill for a day or two after getting them.

Nope. Doctor says to wait to get the flu shot until November, so that is on my list for this week. We were going on a two week trip the end of September, and we got the 2025-26 covid shot the day it came out, although our Doctor said the odds of the vaccine being the right strain are 50-50. But we did not get sick.

Just got both in the same arm last week. Pharmacist said just remember the flu is the top one, Covid one under that one so if there is a reaction I would know which one it was.

I was fine . Not even a sore arm really. I could have done one in each arm but I sleep on my right side so said do it in the left.

I got flu, covid, pneumonia, and tetanus at the same time. Two in each arm. I had no issues.

I got both at one time -- one in each arm -- and did fine. I have had shingles and the shingles vaccine (although neither of those were this year)

Yes, we do them both at the same time - our doctor is fine either way. Everyone seems to have a different reaction to the shots. If we got them at different times and I find out I have a reaction to Covid and not flu, or vice versa - it still means I'm uncomfortable for 24 hours and then I move on - it doesn't matter which shot causes it because the benefits completely outweigh the discomfort, if discomfort comes.

Both at the same time. One in each arm. No issues. Every COVID vax I've gotten has been Moderna, so I feel like if there is any reaction it would likely be the flu vax since that's not always the same brand.

I have, for the second year in a row. Both in my left arm, because I'd rather have my right arm not hurt. Last year, I was a little achy. This year, nothing at all.

I got them about four days apart this year, but have gotten them together in previous years. I typically do not have any side effects from the flu shot but do get some miserable effects from the covid vaccine. That held true for me this year.

Do you get Covid and Flu vaccines at the same time?

No. I want to know what I'm reacting to, if there's any reaction (just because I didn't have a reaction the first time doesn't mean I'll never have a reaction). I get all my vaccinations one at a time.
