Has anyone cancelled a flight and received credit towards future travel? I know there is a $30 change fee, but how about if you didn't want to rebook at the time of cancellation? I know that cheaper flights come out about 6 months prior to departure . . .(well actually when SWA comes out with their schedule) and if I cancelled and rebooked I'd not only lose the $30/pp/per ticket but also have to pay the difference in flights.

So I'm just wondering if I cancelled all together would there be credit towards flying in the future? Anyone know?

It depends on the airline, you'd have to check your airline's website (and maybe poke around some) because they're all different, but most likely yes, you would have a credit with them that you can apply to another flight within one year of when you originally made your reservation, not within one year of your original travel dates.
So if you happened to book your airfare ten months ago and cancel your flight, you'd only have two months left to fly.

I know USAirways charges a $100 change fee. If you cancel or change the ticket, when you rebook they will credit the original ticket amount minus $100.
