Do you feel rushed in TS restaurants?

I was just curious if you have ever felt rushed to eat fast and get out at any of the TS restaurants? I'm asking mainly because i've read a few trip reports where people say they have had very fast service and were in and out in 20 minutes. I can't imagine having a sit down meal that fast - we generally take around 45 mins to an hour over dinner.

Do they have a fast table turn around at Disney TS restaurants? I don't want to feel pressured to gobble everything down in record time!

We have never felt rushed, and by and large have always thought our TS gave great service! We always figure 45-1 hour, and if we have somewhere to be, we mention it to the server. We use this as our rest periods and rarely go back to the room during the day. Can't beat eating in the AC in a beautiful restaurant!!

I cant imagine doing a TS in much less than an hour. BTW the 3 courses ordered off a menu, or a buffet. An hour sounds right to me. Ive done less here at home, w/out the aps or dessert.

If you do feel rushed, just tell your server you are in no hurry and want to take your time.

It's always in a restaurant's best financial interest to turn the tables more often, and at Disney that is highlighted by the number of small children growing impatient as their parents try to wolf down a meal!

There are other things you can do besides tell your server you are not in a rush...for example, you can order a drink, tell the waiter you need a few minutes to decide, then order just an appetizer. Then when the appetizer is done place your main course order.

When finished with your main course, tell the server you need a few minutes before coffee and/or dessert. Remember, it's YOUR money and it's YOUR vacation!

We've never felt rushed....and we find that a TS meal takes at least an hour. In one restaurant (near the end of the serving time...and not anywhere near full) we told our server that we'd just hang out for a few minutes till it was time to leave for the airport and I'd compensate her appropriately for occupying her table. She seemed more than pleased!

The only place I felt rushed by the restaurant was CRT dinner. There were a few places (Le Cellier for one) where I didn't feel the need to linger due to the noise and crowd levels of the restaurant.

No...we've never felt rushed & we've spent about 30 nights in Disney over the last 2 years.

The only time we were "rushed" was at Alfredo's and we didn't feel pressured by any means, the food just came out fast. We didn't have appetizers or desserts and just split 2 entrees between 3 of us. We were in and out in less than 25 minutes. However, we could have easily lingered over the menu longer, ordered appetizers, etc. The waitstaff never pressured us...

In other places, we were ready to go and they were slow =)

I wouldn't worry. If you feel rushed, just tell the server you are in no hurry. That's what I do at a regular restaurant... always seems to work!

We have never felt rushed at any TS place. Always friendly service. Sometimes the server was lacking but never rushed to leave.

We never felt rushed to leave a TS restaurant. And have always taken at least an hour for any TS.

Now the noise at some TS is something we could complain about. Sometimes if feels like we are eating at a CS instead of a TS because of the noise factor.
Usually seems like those are the noisy park-commando types!!

We have never felt rushed. Most places assuming we had ADR, sat us quickly and left us to enjoy a leisurly talbe service Meal! I love Disney Dining!!

Most times no.
But once in awhile we've been served our appetizers before our drinks even came, and several times our entrees were served before we had even finished our appetizers.
So we now do like Bob P suggests -right away inform our server that we want a leisurely meal and ask that it be "paced" accordingly. Once the server realizes we're not "campers", that works just fine.

On our last trip three weeks ago, we had our final dinner at Artist Point. We enjoy eating leisurely if we're at a TS, and that goes double for a signature dining experience such as AP. Subsequently, we told our server we were in no hurry and planned on doing appetizers, salads, entrees, a bottle of wine, dessert, and coffee. She loved it! As the place wasn't busy that evening, she proceeded to tell us how disappointed she gets when folks come in who DO want to rush service at AP. Her training (outside of WDW) was at a 4-star restaurant where a more continental pace was expected. Nearly two and a half hours later, we left AP after a wonderfully paced, excellent meal.
