Do you ever win radio contests?

Chris won one this week. It looks like we have plans afterall for this weekend. He won a free weekend at Callaway Gardens here in GA. They're having a Hot Air Balloon Festival. We got two nights at the Inn and tickets to everything. I'm still in shock!

Wow! Congrats, Heather. Callway Gardens is a very pretty place. You'll love the gardens. I love that area they have where they design the plants into animal shapes.

The last radio contest I won was the 1st day back at work after my WDW vacation. The question asked?????-Name the "lands" in the Magic Kingdom!!! Needless to say, I was on the phone in a flash. Won a gift cert for a local restaurant.

I'm hoping I win the next contest they've got going-A 5 day/4 nite vaca to WDW! Includes air, on-site hotel and passes. I'm one of 100 qualifiers for the trip and won't know until 9/7/02 where the winner is announced at a local fair. If I can't win it, I hope my sister, neice, brother-in-law or 2 co-workers win!

My ex-BF used to win tickets nearly weekly. He used to DJ at the station and said he knew exactly how long it took for all the lines to light up. It sure was nice getting free tickets, seeing as how I was in school and he was no big spender.

Chris won one about 2 years ago...he won 2 tickets to a wrestling event. I think he gave the tickets away at work though because we aren't the WWF type. Actually, he probably is but he didn't want to go alone.

Just a note, those of you who win and do NOT pick up your prizes, they go into a "Robin" file, the file that the receptionists KNOW to give it to me after a period of time!!! Needless to say the really good ones get picked up QUICK!

I won a 7 night Disney Cruise this past May. We are sailing in October! It was so awesome to win!! I could not believe it. Never won anything this big before!

My DH wins quite often. He's in his car all day with his cell phone. Most recently he won 2 tickets and a chartered bus trip to a Red Sox game. He and our DS went and while on the trip they won 2 more Sox tickets and 4 tickets to a Celtics game this winter!! I can't wait!

I won concert tickets for the night of my wedding rehearsal so I had to give them away & I won $400.00 cash once when we were first married.

I once won tickets to see the Eagles play the Giants. The tickets were for a luxury box. It was soooo cool. We are Giants fans and they won so that made it even better. DH has won tee shirts and McDonald gift certificates.

I've won front row tickets and back stage passes to concerts.

The biggest thing I won was a trip to Chicago. It was when the BeeGee's released their Stillwaters album. We were flown to Chicago, stayed in the Sutton Place Hotel, tickets to a baseball game, and tickets to the Oprah Winfry taping when the BeeGee's were on. Oh, and they also gave us $200 in spending money.

My DH won tickets to see the Barenaked Ladies a few years ago. We got to meet the band backstage before the show, it was great!

I have won concerts, tickets to comedy shows, 4th of July rides at Boston harbor but my ultimate was winning a trip to Austalia for the summer Olympics in 2000. I don't think I will ever win anything compared to that but that is Ok, I had a once in a life time experience

I’ve won 2 radio contents. The first was when I was a teenager. I’d sent in a postcard, they picked my name, and I had something like 15 minutes to call in. I was supposed to win ‘a collection of records and tapes;’ but when the info came in the mail, it was only the choice of one from the list. What a rip off!

The second, was with the help of a former co-worker, who had good luck dialing in. She won prizes all the time, and when she had reached the limit of how many they’d allow one person in a certain length of time, she’d hand the phone over to someone else in the office. Another caller (a man) and I were competing by answering questions about baseball – specifically our local team. I didn’t have a clue, but somehow managed to win. The prize was dinner at a local restaurant, Rick’s Prime Rib House.
