Do you ever stop and wonder where your life...

Tinks...Sending you a PM. LOL! :)

C.Ann...I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that people don't get it. My sister is one...she doesn't get it! And she's 5 years older than me! You think she would learn. Don't give up hope...there's a method to that?

Kay7979...Very true. When my dad was near the end with cancer, he said he had only one thing in life that he would have changed. He wouldn't have worked as much as he did! (He would only change one thing??? I have a LOT I would change.) Of course it could be the jobs I've had, but work has never been at the top of my list. I would actually prefer to be home and volunteer where it's appreciated. But single parenthood kills that. Note to self...must get busier searching for that job! :faint: And when I worked at the hospital, you heard about tragedies too often. Everyone in our department would stop to think...it puts things in perspective and makes you realize what's important. Then we went back to working. :( Still have to work even though it's not the #1 priority in the heart.

minniepumpernickel...THANKS! :teeth:

Lauri...Having no control really stinks. Whatever it is, I hope it improves!

I heard once in a sermon that if you are ever truly comfortable and happy and satisfied with this life then look out, because something's wrong!
Oh oh...I think I'm in deep trouble then.

Although it took work to get at this point in my life (both of us working and planning what and how to buy what we wanted to have when we retired..working to get the kids school loans paid off (our share..they have to pay off their shares LOL), and starting a small home business)..I can honestly say I'm right where I wanted to be, and I think I've always been happy with my life. I can't remember wondering what I would do differently, because I think when I wanted something to be different, I've changed my course in life. We decided to stay in our starter home, rather than take on a more expensive home. We kept our cars til old age killed them, etc. Those choices left us able to live on savings and early retirement in our early 50's. We do have our small home business (not that anyone counts that as a "real" job, since we don't have to leave our home much to do it (DTP business and eBay) so that helps moneywise. And we are enjoying our freedom..our choices to go when and where we want, within money reason. It does agravate me , when my dentist (or doctor or anyone else) says..gee, I wish I could afford to retire..and my stock answer is, hey, if you don't mind living on about half your regular salary, YOU CAN! So God willing, our health stays good, we'll continuing living what for us, is a great life. Of course, it helped that I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 37 years. I don't know how he put up with me all that time, but he did : ) I'm sure my life would be very different, if he hadn't been my long time friend.
