I do. :guilty:

Me three......we were just talking about him today!

I also heard Queen is going on tour without John Deacon, and someone replacing Freddie.

My opinion - DON'T!

Paul Rodgers from Bad Company is touring with original members of Queen. As much as I would love to see them I just can't. It just doesn't seem right to me.

Yes, yes, yes....You know as I was listening to my CD on Fri. I was thinking about the song Bohemian Rhapsody. What was he thinking when he sang that song later in his life, you know?

ETA...found this about the song. Interesting.

The lyrics set the stage with the theme "No escape from reality", then tell the story of "a poor boy" who is "easy come, easy go" and shoots a man dead. He tells his mama "I don't want to die. I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all." The court responds to his pleas with "We will not let you go". The killer's reply, "Any way the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me," is a refrain from start to end. Believing that things don't matter does not prevent them from mattering. There is indeed, "No escape from reality".

yesterday especially I missed him. Riding in car we are the champions was on. I was explaining Queen to my 10 yr old DD. No one can replace Freddie.

I like the music, but to be honest, he creeped me out.

Yes. Paul Rodgers is not the same.

I recently watched a PBS special about the history of protest songs. (Actually very interesting). Anyway, Freddie Mercury was featured in it, and there was a big interview segment from him. -- regarding cause songs in the 80's. He was sick then, and it was so sad to see him in this interview.

I heard "You're My Best Friend" on the radio today and it brought me back to college and my then-boyfriend ....

I really loved Queen music, but didn't really learn to enjoy Freddie's performances (just never paid attention) until it was too late. He was truely a showman.

Yes I do. First, GREAT stage name. Second, the guy could really SING.

Queen was my first concert. My dad took me. My room was practically a shrine to Mr Bulsara. (Where's the worship smilie????) He was the only reason I knew where Zanzibar was. :)

I saw Queen three times at Madison Square Garden. Awesome every single time.

:cloud9:

I miss Freddie too, such a great show man.

I took him for granted when I was growing up and now I cannot believe he has been gone for so long.
