Just little changes made in the parks or the resorts. For me, and this might just be me, I miss the powdery soap that used to be in the parks. It was white and it smelled really nice, and it also felt pretty cool. I think they moved on to foam now :guilty: , but I enjoyed it while it lasted. Does anyone else miss something that might seem small or insignificant but was sort of special to you? Something that let you know know you were at WDW but was changed? I can't be the only one.... ;)

I miss the old tickets where you didn't have to stick your fingers in the machines to get in ;)

...the days when E-Ticket was a really good ride, not a boarding pass from an airline's website...

i miss the bar soap at the resorts. it used to be different. now its just ivory soap with a mickey stamp on it. i still have a few bars of the old/original soap locked in my vault. :thumbsup2

i miss my parents paying for everything on our trip for all us kids. This time around im splitting the stay with them so we can stay @ the POLY.

They changed from the powdered soap during the time when concerns that every "white powdery substance" might be "anthrax".

Here's a link to a similar situation concerning an airline company.

The soap also could resemble other illegal drugs in powdered form.

I miss the free chocolate mints they used to give out after your lunch at the Plaza,as well as the free scoop of ice cream included with kid's meals.
I miss the butter that was shaped like Spaceship Earth at the EPCOT restaurants.
I miss the E-ticket nights too...they were certainly "magical" for our family.

At EPCOT I miss the old version of Universe of Energy as well as the old Imagination pavilion. For that matter I miss the old version of Listen to the Land.
And the older Illuminations (with Rhapsody in Blue) was better than the current version.
My kids miss Food Rocks and we seem to be destined to miss Cranium Command from now on as well.

I miss the lower prices on everything from food to park admission and lodgings.
But we still will go back and find new things to miss years from now!

I miss a dessert they used to serve at the Coral Reef, a white chocolate mousse with dark chocolate ears.

I miss Alien Encounter.

Handstamps...

and going on dark rides without all those camera screens glowing around you (guilty until I realized what a bother it is - now I keep it closed!)...

The stilt walkers in Epcot...

I miss "Lodge Moose". There was a life size moose made of twigs as you were driving into the Wilderness Lodge. It didn't survive a hurricaine and was never replaced. Each time we go to WL or drive by on the way to MK, my DD and I look at each other and say "Lodge Moose Gone". I really thought they would have rebuilt him

I had to smile when I read this...as the parent I am thrilled to have DD splitting the cost of the room so we can stay at AKL. :cheer2:

I miss the 3-D Mickey Mouse butter that you were served at the castle, back when it was King Stephan's Banquet Hall!!! (and I miss the jumbo shrimp they used to serve)

I miss all the Millenium desserts they served at Epcot.

I miss the drum major and the band that played on Main Street. I loved them. They reminded me of "the Music Man", and you could tell that they loved their jobs. Bring them back!!!!!

I miss Horizons!

The Main Street Electrical Parade,

the fountain that used to be outside POTC,

and beaver tails in the Canada pavillion at Epcot.

I miss the original Journey into Imagination, with Figment and the Dreamfinder. "Dr. Nigel Channing" just doesn't cut it for me (and I'm a BIG Python Fan).

I WILL miss the carmel and pineapple at Ohana's...I heard they moved on to bread pudding....

WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!? NO WAY! :sad::sad::sad:

The pineapple was the best part and I hate bread pudding!

I reaaly miss the joke shop on Main Street, and the penny arcade. I liked the candy store the way it used to be, when you could watch them pouring the fudge out onto the marble slabs.

DH and I totally miss our most favorite lunch at Magic Kingdom... the taco salads at El Pirata y el Perico.. so disappointed that they don't serve them anymore.. :sad1:. We looked forward to having one of those every year...
