Do you ever lie on the boards?

So...do you? Do you stretch the truth a little, in case someone you know is on the boards and doesn't recognize you. Or do you make up stories, or replies or just in general lie about anything? DD and I were talking about her not lying today and I thought it would be an interesting subject here.

i don't lie or stretch the truth. i just don't share anything so personal that someone would know me.

I can understand omitting information, but I can't stand downright deception.

I don't lie on the boards.....what's the point? I do however "lie" to my kids, ie, tooth fairy, santa, etc? Does that count?

I don't lie. No offence to anyone here, but I don't know any of you and could care less what you think of me (I mean it's great if you like me but if not, I just don't care). So what's the point in lying?

Same here! And I never lie (unless its a white lie to save someone's feelings). I'm a bit too honest if anything, so I get really sad when people think I'm lying!

There was a guy (I assume it was a guy) a couple of years ago that made up an eloborate story about his own military record - I presume to bolster his position in debates on the now-defuct debate board. After several active duty posters put 2 and 2 and 2 togther he was called on his ruse and disappeared - at least as far as we know ....

No. I'm a very direct person, I tell it like it is. I know some people get offended by my directness, but wouldn't you rather know where you stand than have someone lie to you? I won't even white lie to save feelings, although I might try to be diplomatic when it's warranted.

I have no reason to make anything up, there's enough drama around here that I certainly don't need to add any to it.

I do not lie on the boards. As you can see, I dont have many posts. But actually I do. See, I have the opposite problem, sometimes I really really say what I mean. And sometimes I dont answer posts now because I might really say what I think and offend people accidently. I was embarassed that some things I said really upset some people so now I sign in under a new name. I sometimes think I dont fit in with the things I have to say because a lot of discussion on here about Disney is about money saving things and thats just not something we have to worry about. I never considered what some people go through. So, no, I dont lie, I just dont say what I want like 'WHY ARE YOU GOING ON VACATION IF YOU CANT AFFORD BREAKFAST????" oooopps
