Do you ever "Hit the Couch"?

Do You Use the Sleeper Sofa in the DVC villas?

  • Yes, we yank those puppies out every visit! Luvin' the couch bed...

  • Sometimes we use them...wouldn't have a problem using 'em again.

  • Only once in a RARE while, when no bigger rooms were available, or extra guest tagged along!

  • Never... I despise all things sleeper-sofaish, or possible I just hate sparing even an inch of livin

Just curious how often those sleeper sofas ever get used @ the Villas.

And if you are a "couch-hitter", please define the experience -- using a "real" bed and mattress, air matress, and sleeping bag as points of reference (sort of a good, marginal, ugh scale...)

Our DS has slept on the pull outs several times at OKW. We have also had a senior couple who used it one trip. When asked, both said it was just fine. I might add that DS is 6'4" and about 350 pounds!

I really enjoy using the Living Room as a Living Room, not a bedroom!

So far it has been just the 2 of us. So we have never even pulled out the sofa bed. I might sometime and lay on it just too see what it feels like. LOL

DS (3 1/2 at the time) loved the concept of sleeping in the Living Room in our 1BR at OKW....

Thanks

We've only used them once, in Dec 2000, my girlfriends came down for the first 4 days of our trip and used it while DH, I and our 19 month old slept in the bedroom.
We now have 2 kids and would LOVE for them to be out there, but alas, we spend our vacations with the 4 of us in the king bed. @@
Maybe next year when the kids are 3 and 5 they won't be too scared.

My DD (6) sleeps on the sofa bed every visit and has never complained. I laid on it once and thought to myself "ugh this thing is awful". I feel badly everytime I open it for her. I'd rather have a nice fold-up cot with a thick mattress like they have in most hotels.

My young DD sleeps on the couch and sometimes one of us ends up with her. There are only 3 of us, so she's either on the Studio couch or in the living room in the 1 BR.

I have ot been on one yet. You might want to consider some kind of air mattress. The real good ones are bulky and if you fly may not be an option. Some of the thinner ones for a slleping bag may work. Just a couple of thoughts.

I always use the couch bed at least 1 night on each stay so I can see if they are comfortable to use . I see no problems with them at VWL or BWV yet.
If you do use them just make sure they are left open when you check-out so HC can change them. Thank you

DH and I just shared a pull out at OKW the past few nights! We were staying with a friend on HIS points, so of course he had the master bedroomm our other friends shared the second bedroom and DH and I were just as happy sharing the pull out. As a matter of fact we joked that WE had the biggest bedroom :D

We found the pull out very comfortable and had NO problems. Of course we didn't drop into bed until the wee hours of the morning, so that could have been a factor. ;)
