Do you ever get tired of DL?

I can't say I ever get tired of Disneyland, just the crowds and the rude people. But..I only like to go about once a year. Like Hydro said, it's like Christmas for me..and once a year works fine. Of course, I don't live close, if I did I can see myself hopping over for a meal or whatever, but it might lose it 'specialness' by being so easy to get to. Like when I lived in Vegas. I worked on the strip..did I really have to go there after work??? nooooo.
As OP have said, how about mixing it up? I'd love to do a Disney cruise, we are doing WDW in 10, and in Jan 09 we're doing an ABD. (Backstage Magic). Last year we didn't even do Disney, we visited friends in Wisconsin and went to a business thing in DC (business for DH fun for me). Couple years ago we did an AI in Playa Del Carmen and will probaly do that again as well.
All I have to do at Disney to feel the magic is look at the light on in Walt's apartment and give a little nod of thanks.

No way, when I lived in the Orlando area I had an AP and used to go to the parks every weekend. If I lived closer to DL I would be there every weekend too, since I live in Vegas I have to settle for one week out of the year to go ot the parks.

I get tired of the crowds and the rude people that seem to show up but otherwise no, I haven't yet. But this is our first year with AP's so we will see what happens next.....LOL We don't feel the need to ride rides every trip though, we have gone just to do pin trading. LOL Seriously, we have.....:) The kids get irritated at us though so we made a deal that we would always ride at least 2 rides. LOL I really don't see myself or the kids getting tired of Disney for at least another 5 years, DBF is already getting tired of it though...and the miles that we are putting on the van. :yikes

No I dont think anyone really loses their love or appreciation for Disney, but I do find it normal that you might want to do something else, or go someplace else and try something totally new for once. Its understandable if you even want to stay home and get things around the house taken care of. Who doesnt like change at times? But after a few getaways some place else or some home time you maybe ready to head back to the land with the same appreciation as you left.

Its the same for me. I dont go as often to DL but I have made 3 trips in the last year and a half and I am all ready to take on Hawaii/Vegas/England. As soon as those are over I do plan to head back to Disneyland with the full love that I always have for it. Consider it a healthy good thing.

But when you eventually go back, look into things you havent tried before such as restaurants, other local amusements etc. Just to give you a similar but a change of pace.
