Do you enjoy going to the grocery store?

Sometimes.

But what I like more is going to another grocery store than my own. Especially abroad. But then it's not so much shopping, as more browsing and see what kind of different products they have.

I grew up in a very white community, a small village. Then I moved to the big city and ended up in a multicultural neighbourhood. The difference in all the products was amazing! There were plenty of things I had never seen in real life, and sometimes things I had never even heard of.

The supermarkets here tend to be fairly generic and not even seasonal. They may have a small ‘world food’ section and perhaps more Welsh goods in the bakery section but that’s about it. I like street markets and farmers markets.
When I was a child things like tangerines and pomegranates only appeared at Christmas time, or strawberries in summer, and I try to follow the seasons, buy organic or at least farm to table as much as possible.

I love going to the grocery store.
I enjoy cooking, and most everything I buy at the grocery store is required for the upcoming weeks meals that I’m looking forward to cooking and eating. I also enjoy making my family happy with making the meals they enjoy.

I use to love shopping but aboutv10 years ago I started suffering from anxiety and now it’s hard for me to take my time and browse/shop through a store. I usually just go in and grab the few things I need and I’m out.

In general, yes, I enjoy grocery shopping. Most times it’s a pleasurable task.

I’m actually glad that Jadwiga refused to go to the supermarket anymore. ;) :teeth:

Hate it- I do as much grocery shopping online as I can and we have a great place for fruit and veggies that deliver locally so I use them often and now they are carrying other products so it is getting even better. I get bored going to the same supermarkets so if I am out and near Uncle Giuseppe's or Stew Leonards I will stop there and get some things they don't have in my normal grocery store.

I used to... when my kids were younger, it was literally the ONLY time that I would get to be alone. Since the pandemic started, though, I've stopped going to the grocery store and either do online ordering and delivery/pick up or I send my older teen to buy the groceries for me. I have the opposite problem that I get too much alone time these days!

I enjoy going to Costco and Sam's.
DW and DD say I only like to go because of the food in the store.

I enjoy going. We enjoy checking out new grocery stores in other are as. We cook a little on vacation so we always hit the local store.

An emphatic NO :) I used to but not anymore. My Mom LOVES to go grocery shopping. So much so that I give her grocery store gift cards as for the holidays. My dd has become my mother and LOVES to go as well. I need to just make my list and send my dd :)

I enjoy it. I always have a list, but I enjoy looking for different things to try. Love the produce section for fruits and vegetables. Love the bakery and deli too. The thing I don’t like is lugging the bags into the house and putting everything away. Yuck.

I love doing the grocery shopping. In fact, I love it so much my family teases me all the time about it. I love making a neat list and color coding different things with highlighter pens- green for produce, pink for meats. They think I'm nuts, but the meat and produce is at the beginning of the store, and I color code these items so I don't have to backtrack because I forgot something-it's highlighted.

Hate it. Too bright, too many people, too much visual information to process. I leave entirely drained. I will avoid at all cost. I like grocery pick-up, but there are definitely some big cons to it too, like not being to change your grocery list on the fly or poor substitutions being offered. Wal-Mart has to be the king of substitutions. I've gotten many upgrades from them, including getting a homegoods product that was $20 more than the one I selected as a substitution.

I don't love going to the grocery, but I don't mind it. I go to Kroger once a week like clockwork, usually on Saturday mornings. I HATE stopping at the store on my way home from work to pick up a couple things. It has to be a true grocery emergency for me to do that.
