I like some airlines more than others.

Virgin meals are always nice. :)

I had to vote Never eat airline food, cause I Never get more than peanuts!

I always like the first class meals. Maybe it has something to do with those big comfy seats!

The most we ever get is a box with yogurt, bagel or muffin and a bag of trail mix in it.

Since they've cut back on serving food in recent years, the last time I actually had a meal was back in 1992 when I was a junior in high school. However, upt to that point, I LOVED the food served on flights. I don't know, maybe I just liked the idea of getting a meal while on the plane more than the actual quality of the food, but I always thought it was a highlight of the flight!

I hate just getting peanuts now...I never travel anywhere far enough away that would require a meal and even if I did I bet they've cut back on what they give you anyway.

Well, it's okay, but since they cut back, and now let you choose to purchase it, I have to say... it tasted alot better when it was free! ;)

HEY! I was gonna say that! Maybe it IS the seats, but maybe it's becausethey serve it on real plates. :)

I generally don't eat the airline food - I take my own lunch (sandwichs, salads, etc) whenever we travel :D But I do like the small packets of peanuts or pretzels ;) :teeth:

Sometimes. It depends on the airline and what class you're sitting in.

I find I really like the food served on Japan Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and KLM - but for sheer indulgence, I'd have to go with first class on Thai Airways - that's heaven at 30,000 feet.

I voted sometimes, but I haven't had an airline meal since before 9/11. I've only flown domestic since then and no cross-country flights, so no meals! I did like the Bistro Bags that American used to give out though for lunches on shorter flights. A deli sandwich on a roll, chips and a cookie or apple. Those were simple and good. Hot meals I never really liked unless it was breakfast.

Had really good food years ago when DH and I flew Lufthansa. Food was horrible when we landed, however! :earseek:

I don't like the hot food, but sometimes they have deli sandwiches and those are generally good. I always like the pretzels and peanuts:)

Sun Country used to have boxed lunches with rolls and fruit and a bunch of other stuff--they were actually really good.

Airlines still serve food? I'm serious, I haven't been on a flight with "real" food in years. I can't remember the last time we even had the bistro service. It's been years. I do fly several times a year too. This year we'll do 5 round trips.

I am happy that airlines have brought back actual peanuts. I "get" the whole peanut allergy thing but I don't like pretzels or snack mix so I like the peanuts.

However, the best airline meal ever was on a Delta Business Elite flight from Portland to Tokyo 5 years ago.

I put "sometimes" because when I'm in first class, the food is really very good. Also, now that United (my prefered airline) has meals to purchase on some of their flights, the purchased meals aren't too bad, either.

We had an excellent grilled southwestern chicken salad with a little fruit cup and bread on a flight to Colorado two years ago. I believe we flew Delta.

I put never... but then reading the posts reminded me that long ago when I flew in first class a few times the food was good.

Mimosas, shrimp, yummy meal.

Having said that...I almost always eat at the airport (CPK, Wolfgang Pucks, etc) before a flight just to fill up b/c you never know what you'll get on board.

I thought Air France's food was not so good recently (except the desserts).

I always eat the peanuts, pretzels, ect.

(So, never isn't really true, I should have voted sometimes)

90% of the time I fly Southwest, and they just serve snacks. Which is fine. When I fly to Orlando, I pack my own sandwich and fruit, snacks, etc. Their prices are so cheap I don't care that they don't serve a meal.

I have had a decent sandwich on Alaska Airlines and I do recall liking my meal on the way to Hawaii on Hawaiian Airlines.

Never had a good meal. Maybe once on a United flight to Hawaii. I know one thing, I wouldn't pay the price for the airline meals. Not worth it to me.
