I do both, buying and selling. Haven't done much selling here lately, but going to start. I have alot of DS and DD's clothes that I need to sell and put the money back into more clothes for them.

The only bad things about Ebay is, it can become very addicting and then the crazy people and scamers out there. Before our trip last year to WDW, I bought DH a lot of shorts. When I received them, there was a pair that had what looked like white dots of paint on the front of them. I emailed the seller and told her about it. She emailed me back and said she was sorry that she missed it {I don't see how it could have been missed. It was all over the front of them} She asked if I would like a refund. I told her that I didn't want one and that next time she should check over the stuff that she is going to sell a little better. She was new to Ebay and to selling and I just wanted to warn here about all the crazy people and scamers. I know how some people can be, think they can get something for nothing. Had one buyer a long time ago like that. Left me negitive feedback saying the clothes that she received were no good. :confused3 Funny thing was feedback below hers and above all gave excellent feedback about my clothes. AAAAHHHHH!!! Just one of those crazy people who think they could get something for nothing.

To the OP, always check the feedback, that's the first thing that I do. Then check the shipping and handling charge. If none is listed always ask before bidding. Found a couple of auctions for a item that I want, both from the same state. One had shipping listed at $40, but the other one didn't have anything listed. I emailed to ask about shipping on the other item, when I received a answer they told me that shipping would be any where from $130-$140 :earseek: NO THANKS!!!!

Just be careful on Ebay!! :)

I've been eBaying for about 4 years. I don't do it as often as I used to, but it's really easy once you get the hang of it. :)

Yes, I have both bought and sold.
My best purchase was a textbook for school that was $150 brand new at the school book store. I got the EXACT book - used of course, but in GREAT shape - for $5!!
My best sale was for some Coca-Cola sweatshirts that I'd gotten for $1 or something each, still had tags, brand new condition. They sold for $40 each and I had 4 of them!

That's how I budge for our vacations .... Sell on EBay!!! I don't do alot but I have been averaging about $300-$400 profit a month.

I buy and sell on eBay.

I sell a little of everything... scrapbook stuff, purses, books, clothes, etc.

I buy a lot of scrapbooking supplies on there for waaaaaaay cheaper than I would pay in the stores. I have also bought silver jewelry that's really nice for totally cheap prices.

I ebay and sadly buy way more than I sell but I have done both. Someone the other day made a great point about ebay. It is probably one of the best ways to make sure stuff gets recycled and reused instead of ending up in a landfill. Our research lab just bought a bunch of syringe pumps that had been discarded by LA County hospitals. So not only are you getting stuff you want or need but it is good for the environment!

I'm going to share my little secret with you .... I'm sure no one else will read this (ha ha).

First of all I sell used clothing. I search out yard sales for name brand items such as Aeropostal, Hollister, Abercrombie, Liz Claiborne etc.. I pay anywhere between .50 - 1.00 and then start the auctions off at a penny. I also frequent the Goodwill Store in the area sometimes its a hit and sometimes its a miss. I have picked up several Talbot Suits for less than $5 that have resold for around $25. Two weeks ago I found a brand new pair of RockSport Men's Dress shoes that were brand new for 6.99 sold on eBay for $34 + $8 shipping. A few weeks before I picked up a pair of leather Harley Davidson Boots that had only been worn once at a yard sale for $2 and sold for $35 on eBay. I use to buy things wholesale and resale on eBay but I found this to be more profitable. It's really easy to find name brand items that are in "like new" condition when you are not having to search for certain sizes. So far I have had more success with name brand clothing for teens and for plus size women.

Oh by the way, if anyone is going to Disney you can buy these really great ID Badge Holders / Neck Pouches that are nylon and have a zippered compartment in the back. They work great for carrying your Key to the World / Fast Passes / and few dollars in the zipper compartment. They can be found on eBay new for $1.50. This past week we must have had about 25 people at the parks ask where they could purchase one.

GOOD LUCK!

I only buy items that can't be found elsewhere. Only have about 35 or so positive feedback in over 4 years as I'm *very* cautious. I used to lurk on some of eBay's chat boards and have read horror stories about scams, etc. That's pretty much held me in check. I have to admit, the very first time you place a bid and watch the clock tick down is very exciting. I hollered out loud and jumped up and down first time I won! :Pinkbounc :rotfl2:

That's good advice.

The first time I started buying from Ebay, I was getting my DH a Nintendo 64 system and some games for his birthday. I won an auction for a game cartridge for $1.00, which was a great deal, but the shipping turned out to be $8.50 :earseek:

(The shipping wasn't originally listed, and I didn't bother asking ahead of time because I figured it would be super cheap.)

no
i have stuff to but i dont wanna deal with it
i give alot away to salcation army and big brother and get tax deductions

Yes, I love Ebay! I admit that I buy more than I sell, though :rolleyes1 We always check Ebay for whatever we need to buy...chances are, you can find it more cheaply on there :)
