your corn on the cob north to south or west to east?? I thought of this because I'm watching King of Queens. Oh, and I was raised eating mine west to east, but then converted to north to south after I got married.

Defintitely west to east. And hubby has a weird corn habit - he always counts the rows as he eats, hoping to find an odd number some day. So far, they've always been even.

And BTW: Did you know there are 16 rows on the average ear of corn? Just a little tidbit, for ya!

Where are those things that you put in the end of the cobs?? What are those called anyway?? I just asked my husband and got a puzzled look and then he said, "Ear husk prickers." I think they're called corn cob holders.

We always call them "the corn thingies", but I think "ear husk prickers" is going to have to be the new gold standard.
