I had my eye on a VW but after some research, and some of your posts (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2302898&page=2), I've nixed it. I had a POS Volvo and can't deal with another car that has a history of electrical issues.

Since I haven't shopped for a car in years, I'm wondering what all is out there that people are happy with.

Would love to hear about your SUV and what you like/dislike about it. Thanks! :goodvibes

I don't drive a huge SUV, but I do drive a crossover SUV. It's a Hyundai Santa Fe. I LOVE it. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about it. It drives perfectly, looks beautiful and has just enough space. It feels like driving a car, but it's big enough that I feel completely safe. The steering wheel isn't too touchy, and neither is the accellerator nor the breaks. I have to say, my favorite feature is how the interior lights up blue at night. It's so pretty! Haha. And it has a HUGE trunk.

I have a Buick Enclave. Its more of a crossover. I've had it about a year, and I've enjoyed driving it.

Toyota Sequoia! Love it! Mine was a Christmas gift from DH so I have had it less than a year.

I have an Isuzu Rodeo and love it, but I'm fairly sure they're not manufactured any more. My mom has a Santa Fe and loves it more than any other car she's ever owned though. :goodvibes

I have a Yukon XL and I really like it. the biggest problem for me is that the turning radius us horrible. It has grat towing abilities - that is why we have it.

I have a 1998 Ford Explorer XLT.
DH has a 2004 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition.

Both have been great cars. Mine has almost 100K miles on it and has given us very little trouble...pretty much normal maintenance and once I needed to get new struts, whatever they are. It's cost us very little, and now I've probably jinxed myself! ;)

DH's has been just as good. He's probably around 60-70K miles, no problems with his either.

I have a Chevy Equinox. I LOVE it! Valentine's day gift from my hubby & kids!
It has tons of leg room, a big trunk, and is not to bad on gas! The 2010 you can get as a Hybrid I think!

We havn't had it long.. But we got a Mercury Mariner. GREAT vehicle. Rides better than most cars... We're actually starting the plan to drive from WI to Disney next summer.

I have a 2007 Lincoln Navigator and I triple love it. I am due to get a new truck in May. and I will probably get another Lincoln. I looked at the Cadillac Escalade, but the third row is smaller and not power. There is a new BMW crossover that is pretty sweet as well. I think that DH will think it is too small though.

Have fun looking for your truck!! I love cars. If I could, I would have a fleet like Jay Leno! :)

I'll let you know in a few months. I have a mountaineer on order.

I had a Mountaineer before I had my Navigator. I thought it was a great truck too. We ended up going with the Navigator because of the size. Mountaineers have always had such pretty, unique grills.

We just purchased a Chevy Traverse (crossover) in July and I love it!!

After driving my mother's Hyundai to New Mexico and back, I went out at bought one for myself. I have had my 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited for a month now, and I love it. Great handling, nice room inside the vehicle, nice storage, and I have all the extras. I got a really good price, and a warranty that I was really impressed with. We were a Ford family for over 20 years so this a new horizon for us.

We just got a 2010 Subaru Forester Premium with all weather package in July and love it thus far! We wanted something bigger than a sedan that had 4wd/AWD but that still got good gas mileage and the Forester fit the bill perfectly- we usually get about 24/25 mpg in town and 28/29 mgp on the freeway. The backseat is spacious and there's plenty of cargo room. And I'm looking forward to trying out the seat warmers when it gets cooler.

I drive a Toyota Highlander and I love it so much!

It is the epitome of awesomeness.
