Do you dress up for MToT?

My DH and I are going to be taking our 2 year old to MToT. We are trying to decided what to dress her up as but we aren't sure about dressing up ourselves. We have no idea what we would even dress up as.

Just wondering what other are dressing or have dressed as if you don't mind sharing.

We are going on the 23rd and I would like to dress up but we travel light and I don't want to waste space on costumes in the suitcases so I think only DS will be dressing up until I can come up with a couple of space saving costumes.

Lots of adults dress up and it is sooo much fun! Last year, DS was the tin man and DD was dorothy. DH dressed as the scarcrow (jeans, flannel shirt, straw hat and a few stray pieces of straw pinned to his shirt and hat - didn't take up much room at all). I dressed as the witch - again the costume didn't take up much room at all because it was that flimsy fabric that just rolled up and the hat folded up really well too.

If I go to MToTP at all, it will be kind of last minute, and I tend to overpack anyway, so will not be bringing any sort of costume with me. If anything, I would maybe just grab a wacky hat in one of the shops or something and throw that on, but from what I hear, there are LOTS of adults who do not dress up and it is fine.

My family and I are going to ToT! This year is our first time going and you can most definitely count on seeing us dressed up for the occasion ! Since I've never been there, I'm pretty sure it's fine for you not to dress up like Sherry E said.

It's the official costume guidelines - they reserve the right to refuse you admission if you don't follow them....

"Costume Information
All event attendees — including adults — may dress in their favorite Halloween costume and must follow these and other guidelines as determined solely by Disney:
Costumes should be child-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive or violent.
Guests may wear masks. However, masks must not obstruct vision and eyes must be visible at all times.
Guests that dress like Disney Characters may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests.
Costumes should not drag on the ground.
Costumes should not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
Costumes should not contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
Guests of all ages may only wear costumes to the Mickey's Halloween Treat event to which they have valid tickets. During normal Park operating hours, costumes are only permitted for Guests ages 9 and younger.
Guests that do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into the event unless their costume can be modified to meet the above standards. "

We are going this year on the 31st. I think we are all dressing up. I think I am going to be Snow White, but not sure. Last year only the kids dressed up.

We are going on the 29th. I have a couple costumes for DD to pick from. I bought the pumpkin Minnie Mouse one on disney.com and I she has a Belle dress too. I'll let her choose. My nephew is 9, and I've told himt o get a costume but I'm not sure if he's "too cool" to dress up or not. I'm having a hard time deciding what DH and I will do. He's hard to find costumes for at 6'3" and huge shoulders haha.

My wife and I had this discussion the other day. And here is what we figured

Wife = High School Musical Cheerleader
Oldest Son = High School Musical BB player
Youngest Son = Indiana Jones
Me = Indiana Jones since I've had a custom jacket hat etc

Last year, my daughter (18 at the time) dressed up. This year she will dress up again, and I told my son & his girlfriend (20 & 19) that they have to dress up to go (ha ha), so with the three of them dressed up, I may also, but I have no idea what I'm going to wear. (And Lesley - it won't be the lime-green you-know-what! )

Last year my sister (adult) dressed as a pirate princess. I just wore an orange Scooby Doo t-shirt (Halloween theme). We have to travel by air to DL so I didn't want to pack a costume for myself, since I had already packed two for my sons. When we got there and I saw so many adults dressed up, I wished that I had dressed up in a costume too! But I did have lot's of fun anyway!
