I'm pretty sure those of us that do all the laundry instead of having the kids do will have children who grow up to be functional and contributing members of society. Oh wait I already have one. My oldest son, whose laundry I always did, is now a paramedic. He's out saving lives on a daily basis and he can also do his own laundry, fix his own food, work a defibrillator....you get the idea.
My 14 y/o is much more independent....but I do his laundry also. 17 y/o will be starting to learn many life lessons. He will learn fast.
Just sayin.
