do you do laundry

I always do laundry at least twice on an 8 day trip. I like packing clean clothes to come home with.
My best tip is take your laundry in your rolling luggage to the laundry room. No heavy lifting or trying to wrangled a garbage bag. Just fold it up and roll back to your room. Most laundry rooms are wide open in the morning.

When we stayed at Saratoga, we had a two-bedroom with a washer and dryer. It was awesome! We washed clothes on a pretty regular basis - we'd throw a load in the washer at night and then in the dryer in the morning. We had enough clothes to last the trip but it was SO nice coming home without a week's worth of dirty clothes. It might be a pain if you don't have laundry in your room, but then again you could also get a few loads done at once if you used their laundry room.

Only once, when we rented a Beach Club Villa. Turned in early, watched Star Trek and did laundry!

Yep, we usually try to pack enough clothes for half of the trip (+1 day). Laundry in the middle, and then wear again. I saw someone said up thread that they like to bring home clean clothes. I have no idea why, but I have to wash my clothes again when I get home. All of them, even the "clean" ones. Just one of those weird things, ha!

I'm the same way.... even the clean clothes go right to the laundry area! That being said, I've done laundry while at WDW... wasn't bad at all and we did like previous posters... kids & dh went in the pool, I threw in the washer then went & sat by the pool - went back to swap over to dryers and sat by the pool again. All in all probably 2 hours turnaround for washer/dryer but passed quickly. I 2nd, 3rd, 4th others that earlier in the day seems to be less busy.

Also, we drive to WDW so I pack laundry detergent & fabric softener so I avoid that expense. I use the pods at home so 1 pod = 1 load of laundry. I've also just taken an almost finished container of detergent (pre-pod use) and finished it while on trip so I just toss the container (I know these aren't options if your flying). As for fabric softener - buy a package of the sheets and put in your luggage - not only will you have it for your trip but it will keep your luggage smelling fresh!

Yes I do laundry during our trips. I can pack 1/2 the amount of clothes for a trip. Which reduces the amount of pieces of luggage we need. The packing is simple because I only have to plan outfits for a few days, knowing that I will wash clothes half way through.

I have not found a laundry room that was not located by a pool. So doing laundry while hanging out by the pool is great. I can wash two or three loads at once so it take about 1 hour and 15-20 minutes to get it all done. I even do laundry the day before we come home. You know you have to fold your clothes anyway to get your suitcases packed for the trip home so why not pack clean clothes so that when I get home I don't have mounds of laundry to do.

Nearly everything goes from the suitcase to the dresser drawer. Again I couple laundry with hanging out at the pool. Its a nice way to end a Disney vacation by relaxing and unwinding by the pool.
