Do you cry?

Yeah I hear Marley and Me was depressing to the end. I do tear at this Disney movie, Eight Below....poor sled dogs :sad1:

But who can also forget Titanic (STILL #1 movie of all time) and the happy ending in The Bear? It's even sadder when Bart the Kodiak bear from the movie died.

I just read Marley & Me about two weeks ago, I bawled my heart out the last couple of chapters, and actually was very sad for days afterward. I know there isn't any way I can see that movie!

I don't cry a lot, but do at some movies, tv shows and sometimes over silly things. Anything involving animals being hurt is sure to make me cry.

Movies, oh yea. DD told me to bring a box of kleenex to Benjamin Button. She said you have to go see it, she went last night. She is not a crier but she said you would be crying my head off.

I cry all the time. I can cry at a commercial. I refuse to go to a sad movie anymore, but if I get caught off guard, I always check for the exits down behind the screen, so I can sneak out to my car.

I also cry when I am mad--not a good thing at work sometimes.:sad2:

I am also a crier and I find it pretty aggravating at times. I am fine that I cry at a sad show or movie. In fact, yesterday my daughter had to comfort me because they showed the commercial on tv with abused animals and I started bawling my eyes out. That's fine - I'm at home and there is something to cry about. What bothers me is sometimes I am at work when I am emotional and it really isn't the place for it. Most of the time there is an underlying reason below the surface that is making me vulnerable (i.e. I;m thinking about my late father and already weepy and something puts me over the edge). I once worked with a woman who would cry at the drop of a dime - to the point that our peers would make fun of her behind her back. One time she started crying at lunch because they burned her grilled cheese in the cafeteria. She was over the top when it came to crying.

Yup. And not embarrassed to say so.

Real men cry. :)

I haven't cried in 7-8 years really... but I did get very misty eyed in Miracle at St. Anna. If anyone say the movie, you know exactly what scene I am talking about.

I am not a cryer but I will well up in a movie over a dog or a child having something bad happen. I remember the movie "Stepmom" getting to me pretty badly.:confused3 Other than that, I don't cry easy even when I want to.

Did you see last week when Dr. Oz was on Oprah? They addressed crying as this woman cried over everything. Dr. Oz did say that, for women, crying is a hormonal issue and the tears release excess hormones. He said that boys and girls cry equally until about age 13 or 14 and then women cry much more and men much less.

Yup. And not embarrassed to say so.

Real men cry. :)

That's the truth!

I cry. I don't see what the big deal is, crying is an emotion. I smile when I'm happy, why shouldn't I cry when I'm sad???

Yep. Blubber at everything. Makes me feel stupid.

I cry at just about anything. I was always a crier but once I had kids, I'm about 10,000 times worse.

It's to the point that if I'm NOT crying about a situation, that makes my DD way more nervous than if I'm tearing up -- it's more of a "something isn't right, Mom's NOT crying!"

A lot of it has to do with life experiences too. For example, Amazing Grace used to never have an affect on me but as I have gotten older, attended more funerals and it seems every single person has that song sang at their funerals -- I can no longer listen to it without just practically bawling. I can not stand it being sung in church anymore, I practically have to leave the minute I hear the first note now. It has a negative association now.

Same thing with movies that would not have affected me before I had kids in the same manner it does now. I bet some of the movies I bawl through if I saw them 15 years ago, I might get misty eyed or something but not really crying like I would now.

In fact, yesterday my daughter had to comfort me because they showed the commercial on tv with abused animals and I started bawling my eyes out.

That's about the only commercial that will set DD off. She's not really a crier but animals is what gets to her. She will fly across the room to turn the TV off if that commercial comes on. She can NOT stand that commercial as it gets to her. Amazingly enough, that one doesn't affect me. Stuff with animals, doesn't really phase me too much (although something like Marley & Me would probably make me cry!)

I cry during commercials for Publix and Hallmark. 'nuff said. :lmao:

Nope.....

ADDED: I think I cried when the wife ran into my '63 vette though.

At the drop of a hat. ;)

I do get emotional about somethings that most people wouldn't. Happy or sad, I'll start crying.
