Do you consider Mother's Day a busy DVC time?

At 7 months I booked 2 BCV studios for a 3 night Mothers Day weekend in '06. Disney was busy that day, there was a Mothers Day brunch and the Flower Show was going on.

I didn't have to waitlist for the rooms. I don't think that May has a "very busy" time except perhaps Memorial Weekend, and that weekend was busy for VB too.

No, I don't think it's a busy DVC time, and I LOVE doing WDW during the Flower and Garden!!!

I was hoping that would be the consensus.

We usually do a long weekend mid to late May but kids are off Fri before Mother's Day so we decided to shift our timing a bit.

Now just crossing our fingers for availability at BWV. We'd be totally happy to be at SSR but we have never been to BWV & would like to try something new. I figured if folks thought it was busy then I'd kinda put that thought outta my head.

I love F&G too!

We were able to get VWL for the first weekend in May off a waitlist(we're on for about a month and it came through end of January). Unfortunately the kids don't get a day off in May this school year.

I was able to get a studio ressie at SSR 6 days before we arrived this past Mother's Day without any problems.

I would say a good rule of thumb would be "Federal" holidays are likely to be busy.

Booked then a few times at the 7 month with know problems.

I was able to book at studio at SSR about 10 days before my arrival this past May through CRO. My stay at SSR ended the day after Mother's Day.

That's a good way to think of it. Thanks.

It really isn't a crowd issue for us as much as an availability issue. DS13 has been begging to try BWV for a few years now & we thought we'd finally give it a try (we are creatures of habit & love OKW & SSR). I was just trying to get a sense of our odds of being able to switch over.

Last year, we got a two-bedroom at BCV at like five-months out. And the crowd levels in the parks weren't bad, either. And it's warm enough for water parks!

Definitely a nice time to go.

Have to say I really do like May (despite the lovebugs).

Will definately be a nice treat to be there for Mother's Day regardless of where we end up.

Of course I will continue to obsess over this for the next 2 months ;)
