Do you collect a memory of each trip?

Sandy and I try and get something from each trip to be a Magical Memory and we where wondering if any of you do the same? It is not always big or rare but it has a special thing about it that brings back memories of that trip...

This time it was a small clay Giraffe that was hand painted from the AKL…

How about you? What do you bring home with you?

Other than pins, I usually try to get the
annual dated magnet, the annual dated
snowglobe and atleast one of their
hokey souvenir pictures... usually on splash
if we get to ride it!

other than that... pins pins pins and more
pins, occasionally the annual dated pin
bag if there is one, more pins and more pins
did I mention pins?

I spend atleast $1000 a trip, and usually
$800 of it is pins! $100 on gas (at a reasonable cost),
$39.95 in the hotel, $5.75 on my kids meal,
and the rest on churros and popcorn!

Gotta love ol' DLR!

The last couple of years we've tried to purchase a Christmas ornament, usually the Barlow style, for the particular resort we have stayed in. We almost always buy a nice print or cel everytime we visit WDW, since there are no gallery stores around anymore.

Well, uh . . . PINS!

Actually, we make sure to pick up the pins that represent that specific trip. It could be a holiday or special season pin, one from the resort we stayed in, or a restaurant we ate in. Sometimes it's a particular attraction pin because something special happened there on that trip.

Someday I hope to combine those special trip pins with pictures from the same trip, in a frame.

We, too, usually get a pin for whatever holiday, event going on while we are at WDW. I;ve been thinking of possibly using a few pins on my scrapbook pages.

Generally I try to collect a figurine of a character I don't have yet. Not the expensive figures, just the $20 ones.

I get the photo album with the year on it. Even though our pictures are all digital and I can look at them on the computer and I have them set up as a screensaver, it's nice to sit down and flip through the album. It's neat to see how the kids have changed.

We also get a resort pin.

One of the things we always do at WDW is go to Donald's Breakfastasaurus for breakfast and Chef Mickey's for dinner. And we always buy the pictures. I especially like the magnetic picture holders. We have them all lined up on our refrigerator door so I can just look at the frig and see my kids growing up at WDW.

And we get the pin from whichever resort we stay at, and a magnet for my daughter's collection and a key chain for my son's.

I get a Christmas ornament every year, and over the last 5 years I have purchased the hand painted cell available at the Animation Gallery at MGM. I just purchased the latest with Mickey & Pluto in the lobby of the Hollywood Tower Hotel with the villain items "hidden" in the lobby. It's a cool one. I have most of these that have been released over the last 5 years.
