Do you carry your DVC ID?

It stays in my wallet full time. Sometimes I have to show it along with drivers license to get a discount at WDW, sometimes they don't ask.

My DVC cards never leave my wallet, even at home (I keep DH's with mine too inbetween trips). At Disney tho I carry a small 6"H x 8 1/2"L x 1"W crossbody Baggallini bag that has a whopping 10 card slots inside so I don't need to carry a wallet at all. Plenty of room for me to keep all the cards I could ever possibly want without any bulk. There is also a small zippered compartment that I can stash with a little bit cash or change so we can do pressed pennies or something. It's so small yet versatile it even has 2 loops on the back so I could remove the straps and put it on a belt to wear sort of like a fanny pack type thing if I wanted to ditch the straps. In the parks at Disney I carry my drivers license, both of our DVC cards, TIW, all of our AP cards and my health insurance card. DH uses a money clip that holds his ID.

I carry it when I'm in the World or on a cruise, but not around my hometown.

We always carry our DVC card, our DL, one CC and keep $20-40 cash on us. We generally carry our AP card too 'just in case' the band doesn't work to let us in. Compared to my usual wallet/purse it's heaven to have nothing else on me LOL

I carry the DVC member card as I always ask if they provide any discounts for TIW, AP or DVC. Occasionally they will say only a DVC card is given a discount. That just happened when we dined at Teppan Edo for lunch a couple of weeks ago. We were a party of five and the discount only covered 4 guests until my DSIL whipped out her own DVC member card and we split the bill. For some reason Teppan Edo only gives lunch discounts.

so we are here now at BLT. I already upgraded to our DVC APs and got our TIW card. Even with the magic bands for keys and charging, my wallet still feels too full (I carry my wife's ID and things too). How many of you still carry your card around and how often do you use it? I know there are a few discounts with it but I don't think I'd miss anything since we have the other cards. I know if we go to TOTWL I'd need it too, but anything else?

Unfortunately I carry more in my wallet when at Disney than I do in real life. If Disney gets any more automated I may need a belt to hold up my pants.

Teppan Edo is not Disney owned so they are more restrictive for DVC discounts than some DIsney restaurants. :)

I forgot my AP at home on one stay. When I went to Guest Services, I asked to get a replacement. No problem, can I see your DVC membership card? Ah, that's in my room, back at BWVs!!! They had to call DVC, put me on the phone, I was asked a bunch of security questions (I didn't even remember doing them when I joined DVC), which I answered. Then, they printed me out a new AP!!! I no longer leave my resort without my DVC card!!! I also carry my license, a credit card, health card, and some cash. When I want to AP discount, I bring it up on my phone.
I no longer worry about going bagless at WDW......there are some things I just want with me, so a crossover bag is perfect.

I always carry my DVC card, Disney Visa Card, AP Card, Driver's License and some cash when I'm on site in my cargo shorts pocket.

Got back Thursday evening from a 10 day trip at BCV.

I carried my DVC Member card the entire time and did not use it once. I did not need it for discounts as I have a PAP and a TIW card....I used those for discounts every day of our trip.

There are not just a "few discounts." The DVC Member Card, like the AP card, gives you a 10% discount on merchandise purchases at any of the stores in the parks and resorts. Thus, if you plan to buy any merchandise at all you need to carry one of those two cards because you cannot get those discounts with just your Magic Band.

I try to always ask, especially DTD in Non-Disney shops. Earl of Sandwich is one that comes to mind. I also just realized some Swan and Dolphin shops lounges and restaurants offer discount.

We just used ours over and over again (also a Disney Visa as well) for discounts on shops and food at Disney World...Worked out well.
