Do you carry a camera around at all times while at WDW?

So for ones that take your camera with you at all times what rides are you the most careful on to make sure it is safe? Is around your neck enough?

I only carry a digital camera around there at all times.

DH wants to bring our video camera to our June 09 trip and I told him he'll be carrying it.

He wants to record the kids there since they are getting older and we figure we'll only have one maybe two more trips going with DS13 since he's been saying he's tired of WDW. :scared: (We usually go once every 3 years.)

I'm a professional photographer so when we're at WDW, it's usually the point 'n shoot to give me a break! I do use my backup DSLR and keep it on auto sometimes though. To bring the BIG GUN or not is the big question for January since we'll have a lot of extended family there...

I carried my DSLR and my camcorder everyday when we went in march. I didn't use the camcorder as much, but it was still nice to have. I will be carrying both with me again in March 2009.

We split them up....I'm in charge of the still camera and he's in charge of the video. For the last 2 years, we've had a big video camera that he wore with a strap diagonally over his shoulder. Now, we have a small one.....only down side, the new one doesn't have anyplace to put a strap on it!

Both my digital camera and video camera are small enough to be placed in my small purse I carry around. But for now on I believe I am only going to bring my digital camera we dont use the video camera as much.

I do carry both with me, especially my digital camera. I love PHOTOPASS, but the last time we used it was not a good experience. Of all the pictures on there, only about 10 were ours. We had some very nice pictures of strangers.

but, it is my responsibility. If he insists, then he can carry it.

not to say that in a mean way, but if you don't want to lug it, then don't.

and you'll get into the pictures!

LOL I've been known to take as many as 1,000 pictures in a single day! (OK, so it was my bro's wedding day, but still) I never have a camera more than arm's length away). I plan to have extra SD cards, extra batteries.

I'm debating on video though, our video camera is large and clunky - I'm thinking I'll just stick to the little videos my canon powershot can take and just pick up some extra SD cards so I can take plenty of video.

We are going in Feb, Myself and my two boys. Ages 8 & 9.

We are all bringing our own cameras!!!

last time i took both a digital camera and video video camera spent most of its time strapped to stroller . no stroller this time so no video either ( unless i can come up with a small pocket sized one ) digital camera is a pentax wp so not worried about getting it wet .

What?!!! And miss a magiacal moment. No Way! That camera is straped to me the whole time. lol.

We only had one point and shoot digital camera for the trip. I had it every day at all times. We took 2 memory cards...a 1GB and a 2GB. On the 2GB with the settings at "auto", we had room from 4300 more pictures our last day of vacation (we took over 500). We also got 3 or 4 20 minute videos on the same card...quality isn't perfect because they were all shot at night or in a dark theatre, but you can hear and see (somewhat) what is on the video.

YES!!! I always had mine. I was using both digital camera and video camera at all the character signings. It was great to capture my DD, 5 at the time, expression on her face when she seen Cinderella for the first time, it was magical!!
