Do you call and confirm your ressies?

Hey guys! We are heading to WDW next Thursday for free dining w/ the deluxe upgrade. I have ressies for 27 meals:scared1: ...yes...I know. Anyways, do you normally call and confirm your ressies right before you leave?? How early should I do this??? We are driving so could I call and confirm on the way down or should I do it now?? :confused3

OR do I not worry about it at all and just show up??
 
We leave next Thursday, too, and I called to confirm mine last week. Just a precaution. I am the planner of our Grand Gathering, so I just want to make sure that all of my ducks are in a row!
 
Cool...y'all leave Thursday too?? We are driving from Alabama to Gainesville on the 18 and check in to the ASMovies on the 19. We'll be there until 28!! I will call tomorrow and confirm all one zillion of my ressies probably....I'm like you...I'd hate to show up and the rest. not know who I am. ACK!

We go to WDW 2x per year or more and almost always do the DDP. I have never called to confirm my dining reservations and haven't had a problem yet. I'm sure there must be some who have though.
 

We had ours confirmed and found out that even though one of ours showed up in the system it wasn't at the restaurant. We ended up not being able to eat there and were a little disappointed by that as it was one we really wanted to eat at.

Next time I'll definitely call more than once to confirm that they are in the system to hopefully prevent this in the future.
 
No I never do and havent encountered a problem
 
You don't have to but once you arrive you can go to the concierge/ticket booth in your hotel lobby and they can give you an awesome print out of all your reservations.
 
i always call to confirm all our reservations a day before we leave, including all ADRs - never happened, but if there was ever a "problem" at least i'd like to think it could be fixed before we're actually there!

plus i bring along the confirmation numbers with me while in parks
 
I do but have never had a mix up. They have all been correct. Hope I don't jinx myself for my upcoming trip!! I worry about the little things sometimes so I have to confirm or I will worry!!!
 
I have never called but I always save my confirmation numbers. We then get a print out of our ADRs from the concierge at our resort to carry around with us.

I thought about calling this year but I figured if there was any issues it would be easier to deal with it in person once I was there.
 
Yes, I call. I found a HUGE error that couldn't be fixed. Disney Dine has ways of helping with huge errors that their CM's are responsible for. They tried to correct it, couldn't, but helped me find a nice substitute reservation.
Not a perfect outcome, but acceptable. Had I not checked on my reservations, I wouldn't have known until I was actually standing in line that I didn't have the reservation I was supposed to.
 
I periodically confirm everything from plane, room, and dining ressies. I have never encountered a problem (knock on wood) but you never know. My trip is still 4 months out and I check ALOT. Well, to tell you the truth, when it comes to the ADRs, I check those at least once a month.:goodvibes

I am soooo jealous of those who are going on Thursday. But I know it will soon be my turn. I can't wait.:yay:
