Do you buy water or use a snack credit?

Just wondering how many people buy bottled water instead of using a snack credit. We have used a snack credit. I know Disney water isn't so great, does anyone have an alternative? :simba:

We always use snack credits. We rarely are hungry for real snacks, so water is perfect.

I started to get cranky when DH was using up snack credits left and right for bottled water. Of course it was August and very hot, but those could have been dole whips! I "stongly suggested" :rolleyes1 that we go buy a couple of cases of bottled water and some gatorades at a nearby Walmart. This sweet tooth lives for those snack credits!!

We usually purchase two cases of water. Also, we purchase refillable mugs and when eating at our resort food court we drink from our mugs and get water bottles for our drink. We then save them for the parks the next day.

That is a great idea about getting the bottled water as a drink and saving them.

I have already said, that snack credits will not be used on water. We shall buy bottled water to have if we are thirsty during the day.

We bring water with us and use our snack credits for something better!! :) We are also try not to use it for drinks that around 2.50 and save it for snacks that are closer to 4.00 to get more value.

Same here, would never waste a snack credit on water. Last year had a car and went to Wal-mart and probably will get staples or garden grocer this year.

We ordered bottled water from www.gardengrocer.com and saved our snack credits for breakfast and other things. Also, when we got CS lunches, we generally got a bottled water and would use the part we didn't drink at lunch during the early afternoon.

DH thought I was crazy to order the water from Garden Grocer, but he's said more than once what a great idea that was. I just placed an order for our upcoming July trip again.

We were there in May and the water at the drinking fountains tasted fine to me. We just refilled our empty bottle of water all day. I did bring those crystal light packets just in case and didn't even end up using them. :confused3

Last year we had a car, but this year we won't. I think I will talk DH into getting a refillable mug so he can get coffee at breakfast and order a bottle of water that we'll take. I think I will take a sport bottle with us and the carrier I have and see if we can tolerate tap water, too. Last year the water wasn't too good. Maybe it's better in the resort than in the parks.

We always bring water. I must have my dark chocolate covered Strawberry :cool1: . We will also get a cup of water at the CS as well as a bottle of water. DD has no problem drinking the Orlando water but I can not stand it. I also had to buy a case of water this weekend, we are in Indianapolis and I tried but it just doesn't taste right.

I'm going to use credits for everything. Last year, told DH to buy water if necessary to save credits and we ended up with 11 SC, 5 CS and a TS when we left!! I say, use credits until you use them all up. If you run out, then you can pay for stuff!! I don't think we're going to run out.

Never done DDP yet, but we always bring bottled water. We also drink iced tap water with meals. It's not as bad when chilled and/or with lemon. If the weather is temperate, we don't drink that much, but when it gets warm, we drink much more of it. If we have a car we pick some up, if not, we get it shipped. At $6 a case or so, it's a non-consideration to buy a case of it. I don't think I'd use snack credits for pay for water unless I had them left over and water was the only thing I wanted.

Having bottled water on hand is just so convenient.

I guess I'm just a rebel...we refuse to buy water. We just get the free ice water. (it doesn't taste as bad as our local water)

We bought a case of water. But there were days when we stayed at the park all day. So we did use one or two snack credits for water in the parks.

Nope, didn't use ours for water. We didn't have a rental car last trip (used ME) so no way to get off site for groceries so we used a lot of our snack credits to buy stuff at the resort store. 2-liters of Coke, pop tarts, box of doughnuts, etc. Pretty much anything that was $4 or under you could use a snack credit to purchase. We felt we got much more value that way. :thumbsup2

i take a large water bottle w/ a filter each time i go to wdw. i ask for a cup of ice at any restaurant (cs or ts) or snack stand that serves drinks, put it in my water bottle, then fill w/ water.

I'm starting to put all my $1 bills aside now (going last week in Sept) for water or soda in the parks. Saving the Snack credits for the more tasty treats in the Bakery Shops or a dole whip or rootbeer float.
Also putting aside some $10 bills for a margarita or draft beer at Illuminations which we plan to watch from varous countries during the week.
ME :cool1: and WD :hippie:

We too take the free water!! Save those snack credits for something good! I flipped out last year when DH used a snack credit for a diet coke at the MK, this year he knows better...LOL :rotfl:
