Do you buy Disney's Travel Insurance?

I'm sorry, I'm sure if I actually read the policy the answer is in there - but you said 6 days or less $200 - so you mean right up until you check in? Thanks for your help and patience :)
Because mine is split in two, that mitigates the loss even more. Also, I have to check with the credit card company also for coverage.
So much to do!! So little time. I'd rather be reading the boards than worrying about stuff like this!!

The six days or less $200 cost refers to Disney's cancellation policy for MYW packages. If you have cancellation insurance, they will pay the your loss (in this case - $200).

As you said above, it's good to understand what your maximum loss would be, and balance that against the cost of insurance.

Thanks to everyone - I did check a little deeper into this and found that Disney's insurance is by far the cheapest. Also, what you can do if you have a split stay is only pay one insurance for the whole trip instead of paying twice - which I was surprised at as they still haven't figured out the park ticket issue - but the key to remember here is it must be purchased when you make your final payment - I found all of this out after I had paid off the first part (I just paid it all at once, no deposit) but made the payment for the second part of our trip a few days later. So, I did purchase insurance for the second part but could not put it for the first. If I want insurance, I'll have to buy it from someone else. It will cost about $250 for insurance for the $800 loss on the first part. I'm taking my chances. Hope this makes sense?

I would not go anywhere outside Canada without insurance. I would use RBC however. I was reading the Cruise Line insurance just this morning and will be using RBC not the Disney insurance. The cheapest is not always the best. You have to compare apples to apples when it comes to insurance.

DITTO!!!
Lots of clauses in there!
Make sure you catch them all!

If you already have other insurance with TD Meloche Monnex then you can tack on travel insurance for about $110 per year. That's good for multiple trips and you can renew each year.

Another question - now I'm checking RBC and President Choice comprehensive travel insurance.

The Question is - we are going to spend two weeks in Orlando, and within this timeframe, we will be on Disney Cruise Line for 4-nights. While filling out the online quotation, what should our destination be? Orlando (US), Bahamas?

Your Destination should be the one that is farthest away..so the Bahamas in this case.
