Do you buy AP for whole family or just 1 person??

I am just curious about what most people do. I purchased an AP today for myself so we could use the AP code to get room discounts for our May trip. Now I am trying to decide if I should get AP's for DD and DH. What do you do and how do you decide???

I am the only passholder in the family. We go for 10 days in April and use it for the room discounts mostly, and secondly for the food/souvenier discounts.

If you are planning to go back as a family in the same year you will need to buy the AP's for everyone. If you are just buying an AP for Room Only Discount, you don't have to buy AP's for all.

An AP is about $180 more then the MYW tickets with park hopper options and about $300 more if you want to add the water parks and DQ, so if you are going to be in Disney for more then 20 days in the next year, it is worth the AP for everyone, if not, the MYW is much less expensive and the only real benifit is the room discount and the DDE card for the discount on meals.

I buy ours for the whole family because we make 2-3 trips during the year with them. So since all of us are going then we all need tickets.

I don't buy for the room discount because I don't want to be disappointed if they don't come out or if I can't get one because they are all gone - which does happen.

I buy one for everyone, but that is because we take three vacations with them. I don't buy them for the room discount--since in five years I have only been able to take advantage of them twice, and I figure they can't always be counted on (since I am a teacher I have to go at the most crowded times and discounts are not always available). We usually get thiry plus park days out of them as well as 6 water parks, 3+trips to PI and 2-3 times at DQ. I feel I get my monies worth!

We bought PAP's for the five of us since we will be there for 11 days in June and want to go in Oct. for 4 or 5 days.
