Do you bring towels to the waterparks?

I was curious as to whether I need a beach towel for the waterparks, or if they are provided. I'm not going to be camping out a beach lounger, so would the safest bet be to store it in a locker if I need one? Do you wear flip flops walking from slide to slide or go barefoot? Thanks for your help.

Michele

We wore water shoes and took 2 towels for 5 people.

I think you can rent towels, but best to bring your own. We don't rent a locker. We keep our valuables (cash, room key, credit card) in one of those plastic retangle cases you where around your neck (you can buy them there if you need to) and then just plunk our towels and other unvaluable things on a beach chair that we use during the day for, among other things, meeting up if we separate. I like to where those water socks/shoes, not water sandals. Some go barefoot. Some rides,as I recall ask you to remove even the water shoes (so I slip them on my hands). You're going to have a GREAT time.

Definitely wear water shoes! It will save your feet from rough surfaces and gross things that people do.

We will be bringing our own towels this time. The ones you rent at the parks aren't very big. Water shoes are a must.

We always bring a big stack of beach towels and we all wear water shoes.

we have our water shoes already to go! (we like to wear
these jet-skiing at home as well, so they were close at
hand) So, if we bring our own beach towels, say I splurge
and get 2-4 Disney beach towels at our Disney stores,
has anyone gotten these stolen at TL or BB? I know this is
an awful thought, but if I was to buy some, I'd like to buy
something fun, but I don't want to risk getting cranky
if someone decides to do the un-disney act :sad2:

We have never had a problem with losing our towels and we only have Disney beach towels - DVC, DCL, etc.

good news! now I am going to our Disney Store and getting 2
beach towels, ariel for me and dash for DH :smooth: I'm not
going to show them to him until we get to our resort :teeth:
he will think I have completely lost my mind, he may be right :rolleyes1

Hey, i decided i'm gonna rent a towel since that'll be much easier for me. do they supply towels @ disney pools at your hotel? I'll probably bring a small one since that'll be easier :)

We wear water shoes, and store towels & sunblock in a locker.

Can you just use your KTTW to buy food and stuff there? Is so, we could just take that with us and leave the rest of our money back at the resort in the safe.

For the most part, yes. But if you want a funnel cake or mini-donuts or dippin dots or something from one of the smaller stands, you need cash. If you go to the main stores or the larger eating areas, you can use your KTTW.

why water shoes vs water sandles

Yes, I'd like to know this also, if anyone can advise. DH likes his water sandles best. Are these less likely to be allowed on the slides? Or does it matter if they let (or require) that you just hold whatever type of water shoes/sandals you have on the slides? Thanks for any info! :confused3

This time I think we will be renting a towel. Two years ago we brought our own Disney towels and we laid them on our chairs with all our stuff and went off to do some rides. It began to get rainy and they closed the park, we ran back only to find my son's buzz lightyear towel gone. I was never able to find the same exact one again and he was in tears. He loved that towel. So I will bring their towels but only to be used at the resort pool.
