Do you borrow points?

We always borrow and probably will for at least a few more years!

We are always borrowing...in fact we have borrowed our 2012 points plus rented a day's worth of points from another member. We ended up renting in our 2011 points for the Disney Dream cruise (since we could not use our points for the cruise i.e. no availability for DVC members) and decided to add a pre-cruise to the World.
So in 2011 we have a 7-nights at the THVs and 5-nights on the Disney Dream.

We did okay for the first couple of years of our purchased resale contract of 200 points...because they had banked points of 80 when we bought in 3 years ago. We are now borrowing each year at least 80 - 100 points. We used to travel in August each year and have a August use year, but for 2010 and 2011 we are traveling in June due to our DD's soccer schedule so, we are borrowing from our 2011 August points to take a June 2011 trip. Would love to add on a small contract, but $$ is not there to add on when we have a JR in HS and an 8th grader. Maybe after college is paid for or I win the lottery!

For most DVCers isn't asking 'Do you borrow points?' like asking 'Do you breath?' ?

I think I lasted most of the second year before I started borrowing.

Every year we say we'll skip a year and get back into the black, and every year our palms start to itch and we have to go on just one more trip...
