Do you borrow points?

We were okay for the first couple of years since our resale contract came with 60 banked point + the 200 point contract...fast forward almost 3 yrs later and we are borrowing Mostly so that we can bring family with and that we have an August use year and are now going to WDW in June. So, borrowing August 2011 points for a June 2011 trip. No $$ for an add on!! Might have to skip a year to get caught up in 2013

I've been a member 11 years and I've borrowed 2 or 3 years. One time I had already banked my points when I decided to go to Disneyland, so I had to borrow. For 2010, I banked 50 to next year.

We borrowed once and then added on points. We are taking family members next year and will borrow, but after all the drama from the in-laws, won't be doing that again anytime soon.

We borrow out to the max pretty much every year.... the way I look at it, ya'll can fight over rooms in 2042, we will have used all ours in 2040 hahaha

Reservation points never come out exactly to the point so we are always either borrowing a few points or banking a few extra points to make it all work.

When we first started we always banked. Now we always borrow. We still take our trips with the kids and now that they are older and have graduated from college and working we also go by ourselves, DH and I. DH use to know someone who had about 1,000 points at OKW, our home resort and he use to transfer points to us and we would pay him 4 to 6 dollars a point, and this was quite a few years ago. Then he sold all of his contracts, so then I started to borrow. We always talk about a small add on, but something always comes up. Now I am getting a new car so once again there goes our add on.

We borrow every year even after two add ons to total 500 points. Trying to catch up so we can plan a long trip to Hawaii.

If I am short on points, I usually try to transfer points from another member rather than borrow.

Always borrowing. I'm to the point that I'm considering buying more as the points I have just don't seem to be enough.

We frequently are in points borrowing mode, but at least that saves us from worrying about those pesky banking deadlines.

We borrow quite a few points each time, but that's because we go every other year. This way we won't have any points to expire.
