Do you believe in a Soul Mate?

We were talking about this at work the other day. We were mixed about half and half. I know that there are theories out there that a soul mate isn't necessarily mean a romantic involvement but can mean many things. I guess that I would think you have many soul mates and it's not necessarily one person. What do you think?

Absolutely! SO and I are exact polar opposites, came from two completely different areas and just happened to meet by chance. You hear that corny line about two people completing each other, well we do.

I believe there are solemates for us. See I did not say just one. My DH is one of those solemates, but there are others that I never get to meet.

We are too, but this really works for us. :thumbsup2

I don't believe there is only one soul mate out there for each person. It's all too random and there are far too many people in the world to think there is one single person meant for me.

I love my DH with all my heart, and I think we make a great match. My feelings are no reflection on our relationship. But if something (God forbid) were to happen to him, I truly believe I could find someone else who I would be just as compatible with, and love just as much. And I think he could do the same (and I would want him to).

Exactly!

No. If there was truly only one person in the world who was right for you, I would think you'd have to spend a couple of years traveling the globe to find that person. Way too convenient that 95% of the time your soulmate just happens to live in the same general area as you do.

I think that most people have a specific type of person that they feel a connection with. If you had the time to live in several different cities, didn't have to work, just spent your time meeting the opposite sex, chances are you could form a connection with someone in each city.

The whole soulmate things certainly sounds romantic, but I just don't buy it.

i believe that there are some people who understand me better than others (both male and females). i don't believe that there is only one "right" person out there for me, though. i've encountered too many people that i seem to have that "connection" with to believe that there is only one.

I never used to until I met SO. However, I think as time goes by and we are with another person we become each others soul mates.
