I would like to do more this year with all of us in it. I know the employees will take your pictures for photo pass, but want some with my own camera. Do you ask workers, or strangers? Any other tips? Thanks! :cool1:

I will only ask employees, and people with small kids (they can't run from you as fast with your $500 camera).

No, but it really isn't over fear that they will take my camera. I guess I am just too embarrassed.

We have asked both with always positive responce. Have also offerd to take picures for others. Come on, it's WDW share the magic!!!

I offer many times to people while I am there.... And thankful to digital cameras so they can make sure they are happy with it too! only had to retake once, because the girl didnt like the way she smiled.

Many times this past trip someone would ask if we wanted to all be in the picture when they saw us posing with the kids and one parent. At Sci-Fi a waiter saw me taking a picture of the family in the car and he said now you go get in you have to be in it to! We have asked people to take pictures at Disneyworld... now there are some places in this world I sure wouldn't do it but at Disney I have.

Every time we had a photopass photo taken, the photographer offered to use our camera. Ours actually turned out better! We did have others take our photos - I usually look for someone who is carrying a camera of their own.

I have taken many people's pictures with their own cameras. Sometimes people ask me because they see me with a good deal of camera equipment but many times I just offer. If I see a group of people taking a picture and I am not in a hurry, I normally offer to take a picture of everyone with their camera. Sometimes, they had me 3-4 cameras. :) I would estimate that approximarte 75-80% of the time when I offer to take someone's picture they accept my offer. If you would like to get a group shot, my advice is go ahead and ask someone in the area who is also taking a picture. I think that most people will take it for you.

I frequently stop and ask people if they would like me to take a group photo of all of them.

Twice this last trip, I was approached after taking people's pictures, once by the prize patrol, and once by a security guard. Both of these people presented me with the pixie dust pin!!! These are rare and very special. So to be given it twice was quite an honor.

However, I didn't do it for the pins :rotfl2: I have always done things like that! Being nice makes the world a better place to live in!

We always ask others to take pictures for us. We try to ask a CM first, but if there are no CMs around we'll ask whoever happens to be standing nearby. We haven't been turned down yet, and we'd be glad to take pictures of others in return!

WE always offer to take pictures and often ask ourselves. It's a small world.....We can all help each other out.

A lot of times people just ask us if they would like for us to take the picture. Sometimes we ask people if they don't look too busy or involved with something. I offer to take pictures to others as well. Everyone is usually really sweet about it. I've never asked a CM, but they have offered and we took them up on it.

We always ask a CM and they always do it for us. Some of them have even offered! I would do it for anyone who asked me.

I never ever ask anyone to take our picture BECAUSE I do not like other people to ask me AND the reason is because I am soooooo TECH CHALLENGED I am so IN FEAR that I will not properly use their camera and then I feel like such a moron....and so I do not ask anyone because I do not want them to feel the same way I do....I do not like IMPOSING on people at all.

My mom does it ALLLLL THE TIMEEEE and I get so embarassed.

Last trip was just DS and myself. I had several CM (not photopass folks) offer to take our picture. One even said "whenever you want, you just ask a CM to take it for you, we are happy to do it anytime". Just ask away :thumbsup2

it's a take , give, give, take place!!!! I never have a problem helping someone out who asks for help, and those who I've asked to help me were happy to do so!!! :cool1:

We haven't asked people to take our pictures in the past trips, but this trip I'm going to ask all the time. I realized when I was looking back over our 2 Disney scrapbooks that my DH and I are hardly in ANY pictures. This time I bought the 7x7 Disney scrapbook from Creative Memories and it is only for family pictures. I hope to come home with at least 30 family pictures for it. I also do a 12x12 scrapbook and that will have all the other pictures in it. :cool1:

I second that one! Thats exactly what we do! :rotfl:

All the time! I love offering to take pics for people, too - just did both yesterday at the Ren Fest, as a matter of fact. The gratitude on their faces is so wonderful :) DH used to be embarrassed a LOOOONG time ago when we first got together (I have always been this way) when I would offer for people, but he finally "got it" that we love when other people take pics of us.
