I mean, everynight? Say you are dog tired, but you SO is not ready for bed, do you wait?

I know someone who's DH hates it when she goes to bed without him, so no matter how tired she is, she waits for him.Oh, and if she is not tired, and he is ready for bed, she drops what she is doing, and goes to bed with him. :confused3 She says she doesn't mind. They really enjoy doing things together.

It seems weird for me. I have never "needed" anyone like that. If I am tired, I go to bed.

When Matt is home and actually getting to sleep in our bed, my side of the bed must be occupied before he can sleep. I maybe just laying there or sitting up reading but it absolutely has to be occupied. I don't know why but it's kind of sweet.

Nope, he has to get up really early for work so he is always in bed by 9:00...usually around 8-8:30. There is no way I can go to bed then, it's usually 3 - 4 hours later when I turn in!

Never well maybe when we were newly married and cared what each other thought :rotfl2: but now I go to bed when I'm sleepy and he falls asleep on the couch for a few hours then he comes to bed, and he can never understand why I have to go to be so early :confused3 (early being 10:30 or so) DH's are :confused3.

Early to rise, early to bed. Heck no. Sometimes if DH is real tired he will lie down with me.

We get in bed together and put on a movie that one of us wants to see. We go to bed at different times but sleep in the same bed. :)

NEVER... dh can't fall asleep without the TV on and I can't fall asleep without the TV off..so I wait til I hear him snore, then I go in turn of the TV and go to sleep...

Luckily our sleep patterns are on the same wave length, but if either one of us is tired before the other it's not a big deal.

I think it's a bit odd too but then dh and I seem to be opposites anyway. I'm a night owl and he's a morning person.

One of my bestfriends has a husband who insists they go to bed together every night and until very recently he insisted that the kids also go to bed then (usually 9-10) even in the summer and the kids are teens. He says he's too light a sleeper to have a tv on even on another floor of the house. Hey, whatever works for them but it would drive me batty to go to bed that early and lay awake for hours.

AFter 13 yrs of marriage, only a handful of times we've gone to sleep at the same time. I'm a total night owl, he's in by 10 or 11pm. It's gotten to the point I can't fall asleep until he's asleep.

My dh would very much like for me to go to bed the same time he does. But I absolutely hate going to bed at the same time he does because he tosses and turns for 20-30 minutes before falling asleep and I need to lie still to fall asleep. I end up being awakend a half a dozen times and sometimes it's hard for me to fall back asleep.

I go to bed first, because I can't fall asleep quickly. he, on the other hand, can fall asleep within minutes, so he comes to bed well after I've falledn to morpheus's spell

Same here. When the kids were younger, he was the early shift and I was the late shift.

Every chance I get. With me working at night, I look forward to the times that we are able to snuggle. I don't always STAY in bed, though.

Tonight, I got off work at 11pm, so I came home, got in bed with DH when he laid down at midnight, and then got back up after he fell asleep.

Sometimes in the morning when I get home, he will lie back down with me and tuck me in before he has to go to work.

Normally we do since we are both up so early that we are tired around the same time but there are times one of us will stay up later and it is no big deal

Only on the weekends. DH is a milkman and gets up at 1:00 am. So he goes to bed around 7:30 pm. He also tosses and turns alot so better that I am not there.

BF and I always spend a few (blissful) weeks together in the summer at one of our houses while everyone else is away. BUT Big Brother is always on over the summer at 10pm and I hate it.

Every year BF and I disagree because I'd like to go to bed and read or fall asleep while he watches Big Brother, but he gets really upset, he likes to go to bed at the sametime.

I guess it's kind of sweet in retrospect but not when I'm stuck sitting up watching ' Big Idiots' when all I want to do is sleep!

I usually go to bed first and he falls asleep downstairs watching TV and comes up later. It's hard for me to fall asleep if he's already in bed when I want to go to bed. He's got the blankets all pulled on his side and complains when I try to get my share because I woke him up.

I always go up before DH, he takes Jamie out and locks and alarms the house! I will watch tv in bed and fall asleep. DH stays up late watching tv. Sometimes if he is real tired, he will come up and watch tv with me. :bounce:

I remember chatting online with a friend one night and they said...family going to bed. Family? Everyone in the house goes at the same time? I found that strange.

When married, I don't think we went at the same time too often. DH was a night owl. My limit was midnight most of the time. He'd be up until 2 a.m.

The past 13 years, I can't sleep right. I haven't had a decent night's sleep. The past couple weeks have been worse. I'm still staring at the clock at 3:15, thinking that the alarm is going off at 4:30. Pillows don't help. I have 8 pillows in the bed. Try tucking them in all over the place. Poor substitute.
