Long or short breaks...that is. Or do you enjoy, or just need the time apart from each other? "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" or we will kill each other if we dont get a break!

We always vacation together!

We always vacation together and have a wonderful time. Like everyone else, our lives are busy and often stressful, so we need that down time together to reconnect and enjoy each other's company. It certainly helps that we like each other.

Now if we had more time and money and someone to watch the kids, we might occasionally take separate long weekends to do something the other doesn't particularly enjoy. He'd spend a golf weekend with the boys, while I'd probably go on a creative retreat.

I wish you had put "other". We always vacation together but I do take an annual three day "women's weekend" with my girlfriends in october to get away and relax!

We always vacation together....when he goes on vacation.
But I also vacation with BFF and DD sometimes, usually each of them once a year.

I'm not sure how to vote. Yes, IMO, we always vacation together. But I don't think a 2 or 3 day weekend trip qualifies as a vacation. We do take short weekend trips without each other.

Most vacations are with my husband and kids or just husband and I. Some vacations are girls only. I love both types.:yay:

If we're going somewhere like WDW or overseas, then we prefer to vacation together. We did make one trip to WDW without him but all of us hated it so never again. But, for example, in June, I'm going to New Mexico for a week to visit dd. DH doesn't have as much available vacation time so he'll stay home and mind the dog and the house and dd and I will have some girl time.

I said "no," but I guess it depends on what you consider a vacation. My husband will occasionally take a solo trip to visit his family for a few days. Is that a vacation?

We vacation together, in fact, wouldn't vacation without the other.

I voted yes because we normally do, but this trip to Disney will be different. He is staying at home with my middle child to get her to and from mandatory cheer practice before cheer camp that week. This trip is for my DD18 who is graduating. He was so sweet about it but I am feeling guilty, big time, to be spending this much money & he is not even going.

On the other hand, my mother is going and I have not vacationed with her in years so I am really looking forward to it. :goodvibes

We take 1 or 2 family vacations a year. He goes to Cooperstown every fall for a baseball tournament and I go to WDW once or twice a year with my "Disney friends". They are now my good friends and not just for Disney. :)

I don't know what is wrong with me lately; I read the title of this thread as:

Do you always vacuum with your spouse/partner? :lmao:

The answer to that would be no.

We do always vacation together!

Our big vacations we take together but I go to Disneyworld and Las Vegas with friends and he goes on golf vacations with his country club buddies.

Always. We just don't get enough time together so as it is between my job, and other activities.

Now, if we could just ONE TIME get a vacation without the kids, I'd probably break my do everything, all the time, with family rule. :lmao:

I'm able to get away more than my wife so often get a long weekend or week at our Florida house without my wife.

Always. There is no one else I would rather be on vacation with. (Oops, just ended a sentence with a preposition, but that's another thread, lol!)

We take all vacations together, however once or twice a year I take a weekend trip with girlfriends or with my daughter. Every couple years he takes a weekend trip with a few guys. He travels so much for work that when he finally does have a weekend off he prefers to stay home. I don't think either of us would want to take a week long vacation without the other simply because we enjoy exploring new places together.
