Do Wii accessories ever go on sale?

They do go on sale sometimes. Toysrus had a deal about a month ago, buy two accessories get one free. I was able to get three extra controllers and three nunchucks for about 125

Do the knockoff brand controllers work well? I was going to get a charging station for my Wii remotes at Radio Shack for $13 (normally $28), but they were sold out yesterday. Checking out another Radio Shack today.

Also, Kohl's will let you use their discount card for them. I found the wheel which was on sale for (I believe) 20% off and was able to get an additional 15% off.

Dawn - yes you can play with just one controller no problem. That's for many games but some you do actually need 2 (when 2 people are competing).

I'd suggest start with the one and then get another one after the holidays (unless of course you find one majorly on sale! and if you do let me know where we're ready to take the plunge and get a 2nd one!)
