While paying for tickets is the purpose of the post the more interesting part is it is indicating that as soon the park reservation system opens people will be making 2021 bookings.

So do we need to now be planning what we want to do a year before our booked holiday! Only recently we thought it had become nearer the time with ADR’s moving to the 60 day mark, then this takes it the other way!

Happy planning

I'm getting nervous now. Holiday booked for December 2021 a week ago but its not shown up in the my disney experience app. If things are starting to move soon & you can book your park days far in advance I'm worried I won't be able to get into the parks.

Sounds like a lot of people are moving their reservations into the 50th Anniversary slot if they need to limit tickets to just before that.

I believe this can always take 10 days or so in normal times, i‘m not sure they really yet know for Oct 21 on.

I think they are more thinking to go completely date based on sale of tickets, so they have full control.

Thanks. If they suddenly start rolling out this reservation system & they haven't linked my booking and I may be screwed. I'd be wanting a refund.

Even if they do roll out the reservation system I doubt they will allow people to reserve for next December (2021) this far in advance anyway so you should be fine. I think they will do something like dining reservations where they have a set period they book for otherwise it would cause chaos trying to book for that far in advance. That said it will be an interesting one if it does go on that long and you have to book this far in advance as I thought in the US they can't make hotel reservations that far in advance (although I might be imagining that.

If it makes anyone feel a bit more secure on the Annual Pass availability thing it just shows reservations required until June 2021 but that doesn't really mean anything I feel as it doesn't explain anything or give you the ability to reserve etc.

Hopefully they will roll out reservations in chunks. I booked my hotel through ever after for next December plus you could book everything bar the flights directly with Disney for then too.

Yeah the UK website allows you to book further ahead than the US from what I've read (not seen myself) so I think they only have available to book up to a certain date (I vaguely remember it being quoted as 1 year from the current date). That would mean currently US can't book Christmas 2021 but as said this may not have been correct as I just remember seeing this on a forum where someone had said they had booked for Christmas 2021 and then someone said "how its not been released yet" to which then someone explained that the UK bookings are taken for a longer period ahead than the US ones.

Exactly this, I think it'll be 60 Days to book a reservation to access a park

they're going to use the park access reservation in 2021 ? !?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!
if we're not able to access the park every single day of our ticket, i don't see how we will possibly get value for money..
as it is, WDW is more expensive than some of the most exclusive resorts in the world.
Up to now, at least you could actually access the parks.
But if in 2021, after corona is behind us (which it most certainly will be given the status of the various vaccines), if disney keeps the park access reservation system and continues to limit park access to only a few entrances per visit, i just don't see how anyone coming from overseas can justify the massive cost involved in getting to orlando.

And now i see that the rumor is the 21 day ticket will be discontinued as well. Say what?
Disney, you're making me consider changing my screen name.

it's funny.....the 21 day ticket is referenced in the fine print, but it's no longer available for sale...

the 14 day ticket seems really expensive to me...
£459.00

Whilst I really hope Covid19 will be behind us by 2021, there is just no way of knowing if any of the vaccines will work. They are making positive noises but scientists not directly on the trials all caution how many more possible vaccines fail than work.

Even if it is still with us to some extent, it being more managed, the. They are likely to have increased attendance numbers.

My real hope is parades and firework shows are back. I’d try to cancel if they are not.

I've just checked what we paid last April and it was £429 per person. £30 just over a year is quite high considering they go up about £10 or so.
As other people are speculating, it looks like they're trying to get visitors from the UK and Ireland to possibly not come which is disappointing. Then again, I realise they need to make some money back on losses but I feel it's just all going t*** up at the moment and causing a lot of frustration

it's not a rumor...
i just checked the disney.uk website - the 21 day ticket is no longer available.
Only the 7 day and 14 day......ugh.....but we always go for 21 days.....argggghhhhhh....
the 21 day ticket was there last week when i checked, but now it's gone..

Are they discontinuing 14/21 days tix to give other people a fair chance of a disney holiday i wonder? As in a rotation of different people per week?

I wonder if this kind of thing is going on with other countries? If not why just the UK?

April shack I don’t think it’s necessarily a fair chance to others. More likely they are worried that if you give somebody a 21 day consecutive days ticket then do not let them in could be considered breach of contract. I’m sure there is a clause about park capacity but that is a bit different to reservation system.

As for other countries do they have tickets like our 14 and 21 day? I thought they were pretty unique to UK and Ireland? Of course whilst in EU rest of the EU had access, much to the annoyance of Disney. They do everything they can to be able to make offers in 1 country and only that country. Especially true of DLP.
