Do we need a VOUCHER for Magic Morning?

We got our tickets through AAA and on the back of our tickets (a gift card or credit card looking thing) it is printed "One Magic Morning". Do we need a voucher in addition to that? And do we enter the park at the same place? How early to get there?

Through AAA we each got a coupon booklet that includes vouchers for "Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness" which I understand is something different.

Our AAA agent was a very nice guy but completely uninformed and has already given us 3 pieces of incorrect information so I'm not asking him! He told me that part of the envelope that the tickets came in we should rip off and give for the magic morning. Well there is just one and it is not preforated or anything and there is only one, not one for the each of us like the voucher for MTTMM. It just doesn't look right.

I am really excited about the "magic morning" the day that we will want to use it is a Thursday, the very first day of our trip and my dd 1st visit to the park! That day the park regular opening is 10am and it would be so nice to get in at 9 since dd is a morning person! We would be heartbroken to arrive an hour early and find out we couldn't get in!

Thank you for your help! :flower3:

The MM is embedded into your parkhopper, so NO you do not need anything extra to enter for MM.

Oh gracious, that's hilarious that he told you to tear something off your packet...

The back of the voucher for ToonTown Morning Madness should give you the days for that event. If you choose to go, what it means is that on that day, you can get into ToonTown an hour earlier than it normally opens...since toontown normally opens an hour AFTER the park opens, that means that when the park opens you just head on back to TT, and you give them the vouchers and get in. Around 20 minutes or so after opening, they'll have a tiny parade and ceremony for the Madness, and you can meet the characters or ride the two rides.

Would love to know what else the AAA guy has said! Morbid curiousity. :)

AAA guy told me and I wrote down that we got $150 gift card with the package I had him quote. When I got home and read the fine print it turns out you only get the card for staying on property.

I also asked him if there was a flyer about the travel insurance and he said that there wasn’t but lo and behold there it was in the package he gave me!

He also said that the "Diamond card" that came with the AAA package gave a discount at all the restaurants in Disneyland Resort and actually it only gives discounts at that Disney shopping area!

Oh, he also said that MTTMM would get us into the park one hour prior to opening! Not that it would get us into TT one hour earlier than the opening and that opens one hour after the park opening! Good thing you said something here!

Thanks again!!

We didn't book our trip through AAA. But, I think we can show our AAA card to get the restaurant discounts too.

:scared1: We booked a Disney cruise through AAA a few years ago and NEVER again. The TA was NOT Disney qualified and it showed in her lack of knowledge.

:confused3 Sorry. By best word of advice with a AAA TA, don't let them mess with your reservation too much. That is when things get deleted, moved around, etc ...

From Mousesavers.com:
AAA Discounts
American Automobile Association (AAA) members save 10% on food and beverages (excluding tax, gratuity and alcoholic beverages) at the following locations:

Plaza Inn in Disneyland

Wine Country Trattoria in DCA

Ariel's Grotto in DCA

PCH Grill at Paradise Pier Hotel

Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel

Have a magical trip! :wizard:

Oh.My.Gosh. Did the guy even read his materials??? Obviously there is an agent that will not be getting repeat business from you!

I am glad I said something...I was in line at the gates one morning, and an extended family was very upset that they weren't being let in, b/c they'd been told the same thing about MTTMM. But they weren't reasonable like you, and they were yelling at a CM about it, that they were missing it etc.

I booked our DLR trip through Disney directly. So, I want to confirm a few things. The MM will be on our park card and MTTMM will be a separate tickets? Also since we are staying "on-property", are we able to participate in every MM offered during our stay or only one morning? I purchased four-day Park Hoppers. I got conflicting answers from the CMs on the phone. After being on hold forever, I decided to go to my fellow DISers for the real answers. ;)

:headache: Warning Vent!: That is one of the biggest differences I have noticed so far planning this trip. :rolleyes1 Calling the DLP phone number, I was put on hold what seemed like forever. The WDW lines are answered in a timely manner.

Hi!
Since you are staying onsite at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels, you are entitled to Magic Morning every day that it offered during your stay. Magic Morning is currently offered on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
MTTMM has a separate ticket which is in the DIsneyland Travel package kit.
You get the package kit either mailed to you before your arrival or you pick it up at check-in at the hotel.

What number at DL were you calling?

The CM told me the package should be mailed to me once final payment is received. We travel in June. So, I still have some time.

Regarding MM every day offered for "on-site" guests, the CM gave me some weird response that if the park is not busy we "might" be able to go more than once. She said to check downstairs and inquire before going to the park. What was that about? I was going to call and speak with another CM. But, like mentioned, I couldn't wait on hold.

I called (714) 778-6600.

Thank you for the info. :flower3:

Yeah, this special DLR MM privilege is an unadvertised perk for the resort properties and is hardly ever admitted by a phone CM. Even front desk CM's at the hotels have a hard time admitting it over the phone, but the perk has indeed been in effect since 2005. So no worries, you'll get all your MM's in. :thumbsup2

At check-in, a Cast Member will inform you of the on site Magic Morning for hotel guests. This privilege to Resort guests has been going on since late 2004/2005.....I doubt it is ever going to disappear. No worries for your June trip.
You will get your package after final payment in May.

:goodvibes Thank you again. Out of curiousity ... Are you a DLR CM? If so, I probably have another 100 questions for you. :rotfl:

No I am not a cast member. When I lived in LA, I was an annual passholder. Now I live on the East Coast and get to Disneyland about twice a year.
If you have any other questions, I would be happy to help.

Just wanted to confirm what DangerMouse & Joseph is stating. MM is available for DLR hotel guests each day it's offered (T days & S days). Even though the CMs sound downright cryptic over the phone....MM is discussed daily here on the dis, & if there was ever a change, you'd hear about it here first....& no changes in 4 years.

Also wanted to add that it's available for departure day AND arrival day. (Twice i've arrived at 6:30am on Sunday mornings at a DLR hotel in order to enjoy MM....even though i didn't actually get into my room until 1-3pm).

And it's best to arrive at the security checkpoint 35-45 min. prior to MM opening if you want to be one of the first few at the turnstiles (& one of the first on Peter Pan). :thumbsup2

Have a great time at Walt's park. :hippie:

EDITED: IT JUST OCCURED TO ME THEY DID "CHANGE" IT LAST JAN......CHANGED ONE OF THE DAYS FROM MON. TO TUES.....BUT THEY HAVEN'T CHANGED THE ABILITY TO ENJOY IT MULTIPLE TIMES IF STAYING AT A DLR HOTEL. (& WITH ANY TYPE OF TICKET IF STAYING AT A DLR HOTEL).

We booked a package through Walt Disney Travel Co. My email confirmation only shows one MTTMM ticket. Is it true, you get one ticket per family? Just making sure all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed before our trip. :scared1: I don't like any unexpected surprises (Well, only GOOD ones!;) ).

 We arrive on a Monday and leave on a Friday. I hope to attend MM on Tuesday and Thursday (DH's birthday!!!!). I just want to make sure we could enter on both days. Otherwise, I was just going to plan to attend MM on Thursday (make the most of DH's Birthday at DLP). What days are MTTMM offered? As you can tell, I'm working on our itinerary. It will help when making our PS too.

:goodvibes Thank you in advance for your responses. We are WDW pros. But, DLR is all new to me. :confused3 (Can you tell! :rolleyes1 )

Look at your reservation PDF. I just looked at mine for later this year.
It says Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness * 1 Per Person *
