Do we need a SW "Sticky"

I'm generally not a big fan of sticky threads. They clutter up the board and are often ignored. How many questions about "Participating Airline" do we get that are answered in that sticky thread.

That said, there are some SW questions that are continually asked here. Anyone think it worthwhile to see if we can get a sticky post with a simplified SW FAQ. I wouldn't want this to be an ongoing thread, or something that answers evey possible SW question. Just short basic answers to a handful of questions we keep getting

1. How does boarding work on SW?
2. Am I going to get to sit with my child/whole family?
3. How can I print my boarding pass while at Disney?
4. When is SW going to release fares?
5. What happens if SW lowers prices?
6. What are DINGS?

Any thoughts?

If it were up to a vote, I'd vote no. Here's why:

- You were right in that sticky threads at the top are often ignored. So any useful information in there would probably be ignored, yet asked about again by some newbie, thus cluttering the page more.

- I view sticky threads (the ones I don't ignore) as FAQ-type of information and other static, stable information. Information about DING!, fares, etc. is so dynamic a sticky would be hard-pressed to remain up to date.

and finally:

- If SWA had its own sticky thread, fans of other airlines would request the same consideration (especially Jetblue). SWA has a lot of fans, but Jetblue's fans are just as, or more, ardent in their support. The DIS mods wouldn't want to appear to favor SWA over airlines, and would have to put sticky threads for all of them up there. That would be mass clutter at the top.

I don't really think we need a sticky, exactly, but I've got to say that I am totally mystified as to why SWA seems so mysterious to so many people.

SWA is probably the US airline with the most straightforward fare structure and one of the simplest and most customer-friendly set of policies, yet for some reason many DIS'ers seem to believe that you need to know a secret handshake or something to fly them. Sometimes I just want to scream, "CTFW!" The primary reason that I like SWA so much is that what you see is almost always what you get -- there are very few questions that their website does not answer very clearly.
