We're a family of five. This will be our 3rd trip to Disney. We're hoping to go in October and stay in a Moderate Resort. We have two 7 year olds and a 2 year old. When I start pricing things out on the Disney website my results show that our party size exceeds the room occupancy for 4 person rooms. However, I called Disney CS today and the girl on the phone told me that we could still stay in a 4 occupancy room. So now I'm extremely confused. Do I need a 5 occupancy room with a 2 year old or can we still stay in a 4 occupancy room? Thanks!

so long as the child is 2 and under i believe you can stay 5 to a room, but since you want to stay moderate anyway why not go for port orleans. some of those rooms sleep five.

Ever since Disney "improved" their website, I have seen many posters here on the DIS have the same issue you described. Your 2 year old does not count against the room occupancy. Unfortunately, the website has had trouble dealing with that. People in your situation have been having to call to make their reservations or using the website and not listing their child that's under 3 years old. You can always call and add the 2 year old after you have booked your trip.

This exactly. I went through DU and don't have to deal with the Disney website. If I want to check price, I just leave our 3rd kid off the ressie.

As the pp said, the new website has a lot of glitches, with what you're experiencing being a popular one. Since your youngest is not yet 3, you can stay in any category resort. As others have suggested, I'd call and book :).
