Just a silly quick question. MY Disney Gold card or whatever they call it now is up for renewal. Before I shell out the $29, I just wanted to verify that as DVC members we do not get any price break on park tickets.
We get 10% off LOS/UMP passes and there is also that 5 year pass for DVC members. We get nothing off AP's or park hopper passes. We do (or at least used to) get a small discount on PI and water park tickets.
hi: we do get a discount (better than the dc discount) on the length of stay passes. i usually only buy them for our guests because we've been ap holders for years. they did come up with a lame (my opinion only) pass discount for dvc holders called the magic years pass. it was for 4 or 5 years that you had to pay for up front and entitled you to something like 5 days of admission a year.
Does anyone recall which Vacation Magic issue had information on that 5 year annual pass for DVC members?? I remember reading about it at some point but can't remember where I found the details. Thanks.
The details are that you buy a pass that gives you one five day hopper a year for four years and you have five years to use them. Tou can skip any one year. The pass is so restrictive and so expensive that almost no one sees any value in it.
Ah ha! I think it is all coming back to me. That is probably why I glanced over it without paying much attention in the first place. Thanks for the replies.
