Does anyone know-or where would I post to find this out. :confused3 I want to book our next stay using our visa, but only if I will earn DRD on that amount.
Thanks if you can help.:yay:

THANK YOU! YIPPEE, I'm so excited! Do they take it back off the balance? Or what? I guess I can find out when I book.

If I'm reading this right, you're planning on paying for your vacation (at least the downpayment) with your Disney Visa? Then, yes, you earn the 10% on the amount you put on the Visa. We've always paid the entire vacation with our Disney Visa (we pay off every month) and have gotten the 10%.

You don't get it back off the balance right away, but you can use your reward dollars that way if you choose. You build up your Disney Reward Dollars and when you get close to your trip, go online or call, and order your Rewards Card. They send you a gift-card type card with your name and a number on it and an expiration date. You choose how many of your earned dollars you want to load onto the card - you can transfer all or just some of them. (In the future, once you have your card, it's a quick online transaction to re-load your card with whatever you've accumulated.) Then, take that Rewards card with you to WDW. You can use it to pay off your room charges, in all the shops and restaurants, etc.

Hope this helps!

I collected $400. towards this years trip and am working on next year. It is the only card I use.

That's 1%...right?:confused3

Every penny counts. Even at 1% - we charge our food at the grocercy store and buy large items with the Disney Visa card. We pay off the card each month so there is no interest fees.

So with our new washer and dryer - I accumulated another $30 (cost of items about $3000). New stove and refrigerator, another $50 in rewards.
Each month with food, I accumulate another $15 - plus bonus dollars on my Visa card for April, May and June on food purchases.
We went on a quick weekend vacation - again accumulated another $15.
And my list goes on.

I have been doing this since Spring 2007, our last trip to WDW. We now have $800 accumulated on our Rewards Visa accont.

We plan on going back to WDW in Spring 2010.
The Visa reward dollars will be used for our package (14 nights at CSR with DDP, and a 1 day Park pass) which will cost about $5000.
We bought four adult 10-day park hopper passes from undercovertourist at a discount rate in June 2008.

If can build up $2000 in Disney Visa rewards - I can create our own discount and in 2010 our two week WDW vacation @ CSR and 11 days in the Parks will only cost us $3000.

And, someone correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the maximum amount of reward dollars you can earn in a calendar year 750 dollars?

I thought it was 1% ??

Watch out for your rewards dollars expiring! They're usually good for a long time, but there is a note on the monthly statements saying, "You have $X Rewards Dollars that expire XX/XX. Just a precaution!

My wife and I maxed this out a few years ago (home construction and a lot of business trips), so we now have separate cards.
.
We each accumulate Disney Rewards separately.
.
Then before a trip, we transfer the rewards into an existing or new Disney Rewards Card. We have to have separate ones, since the rewards come from separate accounts.
.
If we bring the card(s) with us and remember to pay for Disney stuff with it, everything is great.
.
For the original poster, you only earn Rewards (1%) on your hotel stay if you prepay the room cost a month or so before you arrive. The charges have to show up on your statement for the Rewards to be available.
.
We are "charter members" of this Disney Visa program (whoo-hoo!) so we've done this thing several times.

We are "charter members" too. :thumbsup2

And like DisneyConvert said the charges have to show up on your statement for the rewards to be available. Our monthly statement closing date is the 2nd of every month. So, for example, the August 2 statement will post any rewards earned from the July 2 statement to the August 2 statement.

We are going to WDW in mid-October so I plan on ordering my rewards card after the September 2 statement closing and having all rewards earned transferred onto the card. (Note: For the initial transfer you have to transfer a minimum of 20 reward dollars; subsequent transfers are a minimum of 10 reward dollars) That way we have plenty of time to receive the card before we leave for vacation. Then, I'll transfer any rewards we earn for the October 2 statement (assuming it's more than 10) before we leave.

About 3 months ago my statement said the max of 750 was lifted. You may want to check on that.

I'm not sure how amny I have right now. But first trip witht he card i had enough for our park tickets - we were staying off-site.

The 0% deal is sweet as well.

OP here,
Thanks all-we have 735 DD now, and I was hoping for another WDW Christmas '08, but my mil has fallen ill and we can't leave her now (lives w/us). But as soon as we can go, I'll have the DD to help. In the meantime, we'll continue to rack them up, lol.
