Do we get Disney Reward Dollars when Booking w/our WDW Visa?

Hi- I was just trying to do the math here; I've used the rewards for park pass upgrades, meals and such but if I've already prepaid my resort bill with my VISA how can I then put the room charges on it? Wouldn't there be no charges left on the room, just on what was charged to the room while I was there ? Maybe that's what everybody is meaning when saying paying for the room? I don't think you can actually use the rewards to pay something charged directly the the VISA card..Help..I'm getting confused just writing this! !

Right - you can't directly offset the charges on your Visa with Disney dollars. But, if you have a room-only reservation which only requires a 1-night deposit, you could pay off the balance due when you check in with your reward dollars. And yes, you can pay off your room charges with your reward dollars.

Also if you had enough rewards dollars built up to pay for your vacation you could transfer the dollars to the rewards card in advance and use that over the phone to pay part or all of your package. So in that case, yes, you can use your rewards dollars to directly pay Disney. (But you'd lose the Disney dollars you'd earn with the purchase on your Visa.)

What if your disney card spending limit is 500.00
but your vacation balance is over 500.00 can you still use your disney visa, and they consider that exempt or do you have to call and ask that your spending limit be raised?

You'd have to call and have your limit raised. All purchases count towards the spending limit.

Absolutely.

I think most credit cards will allow you to spend over your limit--the charge would go through but then you'd be hit with overage fees.

Yes, it means you got the card when it first came out. It says "Charter Cardmember" on the card. There are no special benefits.
