Yes they do have beer and wine (nothing hard to my recollection). Good prices too. Publix (a supermarket) also has a good selection. There are some upscale grocers in the area, and their prices are quite high!
I was looking for the walmart near Disney. I was told it was on Vineland we're going to take a taxi there the 2nd day we're there so I just wondered if DH could pick up beer there or if we'd have to take a taxi somewhere else.
Debbie, are you staying on Disney property? I think I would find the nearest Publix,...it would be a much cheaper taxi ride as I believe they have some much closer to Disney. There is a Goodings very near Disney, it's a pricey grocery store, but it might cost less then having a taxi run all the way out to the Walmart.
Yes we're staying at POP I just thought it would be easier to go to a Walmart and check out the walmarts down there too. I wanted to check out some clothes n stuff for the kids. I was told that a taxi might cost us 20-25.00 each way is that about right?
I've never taxi'd in Orlando but that sounds about right. My DSIL is renting a car for a week while at WDW for $130.00. You might want to do that. You'll also save $$ if you choose to have a few meals off of Disney property. We love the freedom of having a car, but we've also have had wonderful vacations without a vehicle.
Walmart does have a nice selection of Disney tee-shirts and souvies. And with your loonie so strong you can do some serious shopping!
We have visited Canada three times and absolutely loved it!
