Do walmart giftcards expire?

I am doing awsome this year with xmas shopping for 2007. I caught GREAT deals at walmart the day after xmas and I am starting to set aside a little bit here and there for gift cards for people next year. But to prevent myself from spending the money. (yes, i am that self disciplined) i was thinking of scarfing up the last of the xmas themed gift cards they have out this year. But do they expire???

I thought that I had heard that if you don't use it within a certain period of time, the value decreases?

Unless they changed the rules in the last year this may have changed. I had a gift card from our wedding 2 years later I checked it and found out that after 2 years or so they start deducting a small amount each month.
