Do Universal restaurants require a 24-hour cancellation for reservations?

I'm starting to get nervous that restaurants at CityWalk and around the resort will be packed after park close and that we should have gotten reservations somewhere. We are not sure if we are going to head back to our WDW resort and eat, or if we'll be tired and hungry and want something there... If we make reservations is there a charge if we don't show? I always try and cancel reservations way in advance if we expect not to use them out of common courtesy (even if there's no charge), but we may not know exactly what our plans will be within 24 hours of the reservation.

They only require a cell and email, not credit card.

They also shoot you a text to confirm on the day of, so you can cancel then if you forget earlier.
