Do Universal/IoA before Disney if you do both.

I do believe that crowds make a huge difference in my experience.

In the past, we always went to Disney during quieter times and stayed off site.

Last Feb, we decided to stay on site during Presidents Day week. While we had an overall good time, it was exhausting. Too crowded...running around for ADR's...using disney transportation (no rental car)

My husband declared at the end "hope everyone had fun because we aren't coming back" I said "never?" He said "Yes, when I can enjoy my grandchildren!" Our kids were only 10 and 12 at the time:rotfl2: I think that is a long way off!

Honestly, there werent enough thrill rides for the boys, so that is why we are heading back to the darkside in JUne! It will be crowded, but we'll have express passes (staying onsite)

As for lockers....we couldn't get into our locker by the Hulk once. All of our stuff was inside. We had to fill out a form stating exactly what was inside. The TM opened it and checked the contents against the list. Then waited for me to get my ID and check that too. It was kind of a pain, but I understood they can't just open lockers for anyone!

I completely disagree 100%. Disney and their mostly carnival rides of the middway are the letdown after the hightech wizardry at Universal. I don't go to any parks based on their bathrooms. I usually do that before I leave and it never enters my mind since its a short minute or 2 tops in my day.
Small kids will probably notice a difference though.

I noted a few complaints about bathroom cleanliness, overall employee satisfaction w/ both parks and frustration w/ the locker system in an effort to offer advice to those who might want to do split-stays.

I complained from Pop Century while there that I had just bit into a cold burger at their food court. Not warm, but cold.. as in the meat was much colder than room temp. My husband took them back to the counter where they remade our food.

Other than those problems, we had a great time at both resorts. We had great meals. We didn't miss out on much b/c of the crowds, and I actually thought the crowds were way more manageable than I expected them to be.

I'm sorry y'all don't believe me that we had the best Florida vacation as a family to date. :confused3
