Do they take "professional" pictures every night??

I know they take professional pictures on semi-formal night and formal night, but do they have backgrounds set up on any other nights?? DH wants us to all wear Mickey Ears and pose for a professional picture, but I don't want to do that on one of the formal nights. LOL

Yep, they will set up backdrops every night! I recommend getting one of the hats that makes it look like the monorail is running through your head

Thanks Barb! We've ordered baskets from Shirley with Mickey ears for DSs, and DSIL and DBIL, so we already will have the ears.

Ok, I've never heard of a hat that looks like the monorail is running through your head! I am definitely going to have to look for that hat while I'm onboard!! I LOVE the monorail!

They also sell Capt. Mickey Ears on the ship. Those are great and even the Captain saluted my son onboard. He wore it at MCO and got so much attention there he was embarrassed. They are so cute.

Plenty of opportunities for prof photos: just need to take out a second mortgage to pay for them all! Oh well, vacations are all about spending money on "memories"!!! Personally, we have 2 trusty digital cameras: much cheaper on the pocket, and ALWAYS to hand. Hence - nice photo of 50yr old hugging Mickey in the elevator!!! Will I ever grow up? I hope not! Nat

I'm with Nat!!!

We thought about getting pictures done, but when we saw the lines, we said no way!!! Plus, having a ds-13, we pretty much knew what he would look like!!!! LOL

We just had someone take our picture and we did get the one that they took at our table on formal night.

We got away with only spending $20 on pictures. Mainly because they don't take pictures of the older kids unless you go to them.

I'm looking forward to getting a LOT of professional pictures of our family taken while on the cruise, I have budgeted in a good amount for this, so I'm not concerned about the price. I know they'll take a LOT of different shots, and I'm hoping to get several "decent" ones out of them. You know how it is with a group photo, not everyone will look good in each shot. LOL

That hat is hysterical!!! We'll be staying at the Polynesian after the cruise, I'll look for it there. LOL

I think they are $9.95 each, but you can buy a package. There are different prices for the package depending on how many you want to purchase. They will change the background every night and they will do them with characters on Castaway Cay.

The professional 8 by 10 photos are $19.95 each. If you buy 5 you get a free folder for one of them with a picture of the ship on the other side.
We got a really nice photo of all 11 of us dressed formally--and I put it up by another 8 by 10 of DH and I with Mickey and Minnie in their red, white and blue garb on the 4th! I am saving the picture of Me, DH and Goofy to take to my HS classroom next week. They all know I'm crazy.
