Do they still send out free bread at Disney restaurants

How about Mama Melrose's? I remember having free rolls the first time I ate there, then nothing the second time. Instead, the restaurant offered a bread appetizer. But lately I have seen pictures on these boards that suggest the rolls have returned.

As long as Kona Cafe keeps serving bread and the macadamia nut butter, I will be satisfied. I daydream about that bread.

My favorite bread services:

Le Cellier (especially the pretzel breadstick!)
Yachtsman Steakhouse (onion rolls especially good; roasted garlic you can schmear on the bread. Heaven! )
Kona Cafe (Hawaiian bread w/macadamia nut butter. "Kona Crack")

And the last bread service I like is charged as an appetizer. But you get to pick three types of bread (out of 4 choices) and special dips to go with the breads. I'm talking about Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas. While it's not free with the meal, I think it's still worth ordering.

We had yummy fresh bread with our meals at Les Chefs and the Brown Derby. They even brought us a second loaf at Les Chefs.

My Dh said to me (after the cm had left to bring us another loaf)
"Is it, how you say....free" .

Just in case you were wondering,
In french "Is it free?" is "Est le libere ?".

We had rolls at Mama Melrose but we didn't think they were excellent. We only had lunch at Kona -no bread then

In my experience, this is true. I have never heard of anyone having bread at Kona during lunch.

Some do, some don't. We do the deluxe dining plan and eat at a lot of signatures. I seem to think we got bread at most of them. I'm not really a bread eater, so it's hard for me to remember. I know we got it at Yachtsman and Narcoossees...I think Flying Fish also. I can't remember about Calif Grill or Citricos. You get bread at Le Celliar, Tutto Italia, Raglan Road, and 'Ohana. We ate dinner at Mama Melrose 3 years ago (since you asked) and I think you had to pay for bread...it may be different now.

We had "dinner" (the Fantasmic dinner package, we ate at 3:45 or so) at MM last September and got bread. I guess we'll wait for someone who's eaten there even more recently to come along.

Actually we got it at every dinner: Narcoossee's, Jiko, Kona, Mama Melrose, and Kouzzina.
